Glorious audacity meets brazen audacious gaslighting

Nothing like American sheer brazen audacity.

Will Trump take California?

h/t MichaelSmithNews.

..

A lot of people are getting a thrill, “goosebumps” even from this video. Read the comments under the twitter feed.

It’s easy to scoff (what are the odds) but there is a place for this naked ambition. Gotta love the showmanship. Sure, it’s over the top, but some might just be inspired to do great things.

Gotta be amazed that this competitor is the best the Dems could find.

Meanwhile a different kind of brazen is coming from the left

The message from the left is just as audacious, but it’s pure Gaslighting. People are saying things that are absurdly untrue as if they were obvious, and doing it repeatedly.

Tonight the Australian ABC  News finally mentioned the Hunter Biden scandal, but then wrapped it all as something created by an anti-China group (nobody mention Taiwan). They carefully implied –without saying it — that the laptop was released in dirty power plays outside America (dissident Chinese).  At no point did they say that Hunter left it at a Repair Shop, signed for it, and never came back. Nor did they mention Tony Bobulinski’s independent accounts, or the 26,000 emails provided by Bidens jailed former partners.  ABC viewers won’t know that there are three entirely separate sources of scandalous evidence against Hunter Biden and some that directly implicate Joe Biden. In this way, without actually lying overtly, they lied by omission. Though I could be wrong. They may have flat out lied. The ABC has changed “iview” and we can’t fast forward it now making it much harder to quote them exactly. Coincidence? Nah. It’s just the government coming to help us.

The ‘trending now’ app on DISH Network tells me that at most times of the day, more people in the SF Bay area are watching FOX news than any other station, especially prime time shows like Tucker Carlson and Hannity. So, at least more people are being exposed to both sides and that will only help Trump.

Sadly cable news only reaches a very small demographic. Hannity and Tucker get top ratings about 400,000 tops. The free to air and publishers promote lies and ignore or worse discredit vital important evidence. Clearly the FBI have been inactive on Hunter Biden’s emails. Why? they knew the source and allowed the obvious Russian disinformation scam. FBI promoted the Trump scam that they knew was false. Americans do not know how dishonest the MSM are. Statistically they say they don’t trust the media but that dosen’t translate to watch Fox or read the few honest sources. When questioned the answers show that Democrats have no idea what this election is about. Lenin and Stalin murdered millions. Socialism can take over America by using the “45 communist goals”. Democrats will stack the courts and alter the voting to create one party power. Forget ANZUS. Goodbye Freedom! Let’s thank those who served WW1 and WW2 they got us a few years. Peter Ridd shows freedom of speech is expensive. The swamp is huge and USA has many serious criminals running their country.

Tucker get top ratings about 400,000 tops

You had better multiply that a few times, try 6.1 million. His interview with Tony Bobulinski (ex-Hunter Biden business associate) had 7.5 million viewers.

Both Hannity and Carlson average over 1 million in the 25-54 age bracket every night.

I trusted my memory and was 10 times wrong. Normally 4 million is top rating. 6 million is extraordinary. Sadly it is still a very small % of USA population. As I see it Biden personally will be better off with a Trump victory. The FBI will continue to protect Biden under Trump. If Biden wins, and doesn’t die quickly as expected, the Harris Democrat machine will quickly expose the Biden criminals with their media, FBI and DoJ mates. First female President!

These numbers are only for the EST prime time time slots. Both programs run again 4 hours later when many on the West Coast will view them.

It is only in recent times (something to do with a Foxtel subscription) that I’ve actually heard Trump say coherent things. That was jolly inspiring stuff, but all the MSM plays is his off-the-cuff one liners (and take them seriously, of course) or the odd cofveve confusion.

Here is the way it is expressed in an ‘Atlantic’ article:

When he makes claims like this, the press takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally.

When I presented that thought to him, he paused again, “Now that’s interesting.”

Salome, there areso many insults I could throw your way but I won’t.

Let’s suffice it to say, operating on the assumption that you’re not “cognitively impaired”, you are doing the very dirty work that the Left in my country, and indeed around the world, has been doing against my President since he entered into the race in 2015. Indeed, you lead your post with that slur.

I don’t really give a tinkers good damn what you think. I DO care that your words will be read by the ten of thousands (probably a whole lot more) who read Jo’s blog.

It’s difficult to sometimes see what’s right before your nose Fuel Filter. Clearly Salome is on the same train as you, but you failed to notice. The majority MSM and especially publicly funded media – such as Australia’s ABC and the Brits BBC – only runs that which damages Pres Trump. Whereas some, like Foxtel, are far more professional and fair-minded.

May I suggest you put some clean fuel through your filter and read what Salome says again? This time without the glug blocking your comprehension?

I think you misunderstood Salome FF. I read it as meaning that it is only thanks to Fox that we are permitted to know the reality of what the POTUS is saying, rather than the absurd ‘misquotes’ that the MSM use to demean him.
I think the world is in very bad trouble if President Trump loses this election. I can’t bear to think of what will face us all if Biden wins, then is medically retired and the USA and the world have to cope with that appalling Harris woman.

For Biden to “win” it would have to be a theft/distortion of votes on a massive scale.

And if that happens, I suspect the right will take it up with the Left, immediately.

And if Trump wins, then the Left will likely start riooting, and the rsilent majority now sick of the stuipidity and nastiness of the Left, will take it up with the Left immediately.

Either way, I think it could get ugly. The best we can hope for a is an actually fair election with no vote theft and limited bloodshed. And thats assuming the current crisis talks between US and Chinese military avert an armed conflict.

Please don’t. It would badly spoil my impression from many encounters with Americans visiting my country of a high degree of courtesy and impeccable manners.

‘Tis human to err and I’ve made my mistakes (all those you can see laughing up their sleeves could possibly/probably tell you but I hope not … 😀 )

Points to take account of are:

This blog is not hosted in America …

it’s owner/manager and principal contributing author is in Western Australia… (that’s on the other
side of Aus from me) …

I’m across “the pond” in New Zealand.
(the pond = Tasman Sea, c. 1200miles of ocean forming the South Western corner of the South Pacific Ocean (the Sappersific) separating Australia and New Zealand and that’s just the east coast of Aus).

Some of those commenting here (eg tonyb (I think)) are located in the UK.

More, like yourself, are from the USA, and others are located in Canada.

So it’s a truly international community here. Despite that, you would be appalled at how little American affairs are covered in different nations, and when they are, how badly. Of course, we have our own news and events to pay attention to.

When it comes to those from the USA, Salome has squarely put her finger on our perennial problem: it’s hard to find complete and trustworthy USA information. It’s too easy to acquire propaganda, so we all end up in the same boat in some respects.

Would be great if California was to flip and be Republican, although all those movie stars and celebrities that will have to emigrate might take the gloss off the win . Surely a positive not a negative though and I’m sure Venezuela would welcome them .

When the mainstream media hide the biggest political scandal in 100 years, and allow the most corrupt politician in American history to avoid questions, because he is not asked, We live in a banana republic. And those are privately owned media outlets in the US. I wrote an article on the subject today at
    http://www.ElectionCircus.Blogspot.com

Trump lost California to Hillary Clinton in 2016 by about four million popular votes, which means in the other 49 states, as a group, Trump had a total vote count of one million more votes than Hillary Clinton. California is a lost cause. Articles on Australia on this fine website are a leading indicator of what will happen next in California, led by Governor Gruesome. It has been said that living in California causes one’s IQ score to decline one point each year. I believe Truman Capote said that. A clever man. Would you guys in Australia like to buy California from us? Only 24 dollars. We’ll pay you to take it.

I would love to do a swap.

Australia has little hope and little future and absolutely no Trump.

America would be better off if Aussie conservatives could move to Trump’s America and America could send all their Leftists to Australia whereupon they could participate in the final destruction of Australia which is already well underway due to a complete lack of leadership at all levels.

A majority of the Australian Sheeple no longer value a conservative viewpoint, they are just addicted to “free stuff” from government and have been for decades. They don’t understand that sooner or later it must be paid for. Non-conservative Australians would be very pleased to get rid of Aussie conservatives and most Americans would welcome them.

      Win-win.

I’m sure you know this already, but it’s worth saying over and over – there is no such thing as ‘free stuff’. Somebody, somewhere is paying for it, most likely through their taxes.

So those voting for more free stuff, i.e. lefties, are actually voting for the simple transference of wealth from those who have more money than them and that means people who have EARNED that money (for the most part).

Keep doing that and, eventually … well, we’ve seen lots of examples through the past hundred years or so.

It would be wonderful if Trump took California because that state is run by lunatic Marxists and it is bringing down the entire United States.

It is also incubating other Leftists who then emigrate to places like Texas and take their Leftist ideology there, threatening the stability and sanity of that state.

And human waste in the streets is a serious problem in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Typical of Leftist governed cities.

I wonder where the Hollyweirdos would go if Trump took California?

Sadly, they refused to leave America, as they had promised, in 2016 when Trump last won. (Never trust the word of a Leftist.)

In any case, would America or the world be any worse off without Hollywood? Today they are irrelevant. They have destroyed every traditional franchise, and all their movies are full of Leftist indoctrination and social engineering.

There is now a huge market for someone to produce wholesome movies with traditional values and also to return the franchises back to the original conception of their creators.

I heard a rumour that the next James Bond will be a black woman. It turns out that James Bond (Daniel Craig) has retired to Jamaica and his 007 nomenclature has been given to “Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman”

I guess that this is the thin end of the wedge to destroy the James Bond franchise, just as Ghostbusters and Dr. Who were transitioned into women.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, except no one will want to watch it.

        Really? How so?

If it was, then the media would be all over it.

Watergate involved a sitting president using the CIA and FBI to conduct dirty tricks on his opponents in the run-up to an election. It was an attack on democracy and the impartiality of the national security agencies of the US. Nevertheless, Watergate is probably not quite as bad as having a sitting president collude with enemy spy agencies in order to conduct dirty tricks on his opponents in the run-up to an election, as that might be considered treason.

Much as I would welcome Trump taking California, I have very serious doubts about that happening.

One pundit has speculated that based on pre-election polling, it is possible that Trump will take New York (tied for third in Electoral College votes, with Florida). That would make Biden’s chances a lot less, if it becomes a reality.

It is Sunday afternoon here in Wyoming, as I post this, the day after we switched from that non-sensical “Daylight” Savings Time, and are back on ‘standard time’, when the sun is actually crossing the meridian at astronomical noon. This is my final pre-election prediction for the outcome:

Trump/Pence: 360 (or more) Electoral College votes
………… Republicans take the majority in the House of Representatives (and it will probably be a very slim margin)
………… Republicans maintain majority in the Senate (I’d like to think the margin will increase, but I think that’s asking waaaaay too much of the Election Gods … )

    Harris/Biden 178 Electoral College votes

I would love it even more if the popular vote TOTAL does go Trump/Pence, in spite of any all cheating that the Totalitarian National Socialists, ooooops!!! Sorry, I mean the Democrats, involve to attempt to steal the election (since they obviously know what is best for all of us, in spite of ourselves … … … … )

    48 hours or so, and we’ll know (I think … )

    Regards to all,

    Vlad

As with 2016, outside of California, Trump/Pence takes the popular vote, and the “California” vote will push the total popular so that the nay-sayers can claim (as 2016) that ‘Trump lost the popular vote’.

“Tonight the Australian ABC News finally mentioned the Hunter Biden scandal…”

But still no smoking gun I assume. So what exactly is Biden’s alleged crime exactly?

In other news, it looks like the CIA are more interested in Trump and his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.

According to NBC: ”CIA, other spy agencies told White House about Rudy Giuliani’s dealings with alleged Russian agents”

“American intelligence agencies were not spying on Giuliani, but on the people with whom he was talking, the source said, including Andrii Derkach, who has been identified by the Treasury Department as a Russian agent. That collection led them to learn about Giuliani’s dealings with Derkach and other Russian operatives who wanted to feed him information attempting to discredit Democrat Joe Biden, the source said.”

    Now that looks interesting.

Using his high level political position and connections to extort money form overseas countries in return for favorable treatment.
      It is called political corruption.

I thought this was interesting, showing what the 2 sets of candidate’s followers were up to. Go to 1:40 for the other side. I’ve read ‘vote harvesting’ is legal in several states.
I wouldn’t be getting my hopes up because Dems aren’t getting big numbers in early voting. I’m pretty sure postal votes aren’t counted until polling day. That’s why they are saying it’s unlikely the numbers will be in on election day.
Apart from Florida, which is a make or break state, because they have had postal voting for some time, and they think they can get it all counted that day. When Trump learned Florida had had postal voting for quite a time, and that had allowed the Reps to control the state, he changed his rhetoric somewhat on postal voting.

    Could Trump flip California video.

    Trump speech channels Winston Churchill very well there. Lovely use of repetition to re-enforce the message;

The more that a broken system tells you you’re wrong the more certain you should be that you must keep pushing ahead. You must keep pushing forward.

Then he quotes Churchill directly (I think)

    Never ever give up

Which may be true, but isn’t true in other countries where docs still say the same thing as US docs and ICU beds overflow if the virus runs free for too long.
Excess deaths in other countries show that deaths due to covid are probably underestimated, not overestimated.

USA has not been testing enough. Positivity rates are still too high. Many cases are missed.

Some points are distracting. not the key things.

Tokyo has no shut down or social distancing that I could find and basically no deaths?
        https://www.bing.com/covid/local/tokyo_japan

Tokyo has not seen an increase in overall deaths during the coronavirus outbreak, boosting officials’ assertions that they have largely kept infections under control despite criticism over the limited scope of its testing.

        Same death rate, interesting?

Yes. But we won’t know what’s going on there without demographics. Are the infections mostly in young people?

Is mask wearing still happening (may increase asymptomatic spread).

          Vitamin D levels?

I’ve heard no rumours that it is a differenet dominant strain but it would be interesting to know.

Seems there is now a 10 week or longer lag from rising infections to rising deaths because it usually starts in 20 yos and takes weeks to spread to older groups. Then after spreading for a few weeks, we start to see rising infections in those ages and predictably — rising deaths follows, but again some weeks later.

He has done a lot of analyses on the statistics from around the world and puts it in perspective, he hasn’t been banned from the internet so that shows he is within your and the WHO covid guidelines.

Italian doctor publicly stated that they were told to put Covid on death certificates. Further he ststed he has never put influenza on a death certifacate and did not know a doctor who had. I asked several Australian doctors and got the same answers. People with influenza die from heart failure, cardiac arrest or similar. With alarmism People die and even cancer becomes covid. Victoria’s first two deaths took 2 days for their cancer deaths to become ‘changed’ to covid. Life expectancy in nursing homes is about 3 years. I frquently request Health Departments to include with covid separated from of covid. They acknowledge my suggestion and nothing happens. The alarm may demise with their time of fame. Please ask for that ‘with or of’ Jo. You may be harder to ignore!

        True Jo.

        A question.
How do you feel about Trump’s ‘head in the sand’ theory that if he tested less there would be less cases?

Your comment in the post might be one of the more ironic things I have seen for some time, coming as it does in support of Trump:

Cases- what the term should mean is that a person is infected and as a consequence will show symptoms or will cause someone else to show symptoms.
          – how the term is used is as a positive result from a pcr test at an unstated cycle threshold (Ct).
Not the same thing at all.

The inventor of the test got a well deserved Nobel for it, it is brilliant, but widely mis-used.
The CCP stooge heading WHO says- test, test, test, test (four times). The object of this testing is scare creation. This test does not identify individuals as defined in the correct meaning of ‘case’.

Trump is correct, stop the meaningless testing, reduce the reported cases, as for true cases, the number is not known either way, with no symptoms there are no cases.

The correct use of the PCR is shown in discussion between Jo and AYE earlier, detecting viral presence in a locality. (There are serious uncertainties as to what is actually detected).

The hospitals (not the doctors) get a 20% additional loading from the CARES Act for Medicare patients who are diagnosed with COVID-19. Depending on rules that differ state-by-state this might require an actual confirmed test, or possibly a presumptive diagnosis is sufficient.

There’s a lot of anecdotal evidence where people have reported that when their relatives died it was marked as a COVID death despite having nothing to do with that. If it was one or two people you might scratch your head but there’s reports all over the place. There was a caller on the Daniel Smith podcast who rang in to say the same, and I kept the link.

There’s a technical name for this which is called the “Cobra Effect”, named after a misguided policy by the British in India, offering a bounty for dead cobras. Someone got the smart idea to start breeding more cobras and thus collecting more bounties.

When you consider the New York policy of putting sick patients back into nursing homes to infect otherwise healthy but vulnerable patients (Gov. Andrew Cuomo imposed this policy from March to May, then quietly changed it and tried deleting it from the official website, and when that didn’t work he tried blaming Trump) … you have to consider that rather close to breeding more cobras. Other people (nurses) have reported that hospitals put presumptive COVID cases (i.e. people who test negative) in with confirmed COVID cases (i.e. people who test positive) and the results were fairly obvious in that situation.

      https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/09/10/911165550/some-hospitals-fail-to-set-covid-19-patients-apart-putting-others-at-risk

This could of course be ordinary everyday stupidity, but hey it’s stupidity with a 20% extra loading for the hospital … but don’t call it cobra breeding!

Tel. Exactly what happened in UK. There they also took virus sufferers out of hospital and put them in ‘care’ homes. Result, as you say. It improved hospital stats, and assisted idolization of the Health Service.

Whilst we watch in disbelief as the MSM joins forces with the big social media tech companies to sensor stories against Biden and generate fake propaganda news against Trump, we need to be mindful that this is not just a USA issue. Our own ABC turned to the dark side many years ago and is probably salivating at the idea of having big tech social media as an ally to censor and control, an outcome that will almost certainly follow a Biden win. One of the very noticeable things about this US election is how our own ABC is a willing participant in the fake news and propaganda, making sure that US citizens can’t look elsewhere for the truth and will only find the same propaganda down here. Being part of the club, the ABC will expect the other players to support them when the time arises.

On the local news front, we can see the big story from last night was the huge COVID cover up by the Andrews government, laid bare by Peta Credlin in her Four Corners styled expose on Sky. You would expect the ABC to be jumping all over this story today, but alas, all we hear are crickets, because the truth getting out would hurt their political allies and media silence is therefore observed. No only does Andrews have nothing to fear, in the safe knowledge that all of his sins will be absolved and erased, but he smiles more knowing that all taxpayers are paying for his protection in the form of BIG Green Communist ABC funding.

Trump is not known for his “forgive and forget” attitude to those people who treat him badly. At this stage he has plenty of evidence on a whole bunch of things:

      * Hunter Biden (laptop, gmail from Bevan, corroboration from other parties).
      * Steele Dossier … paid to tell lies about Trump.
      * Treatment of Michael Flynn (see link below).
      * Treatment of Roger Stone (dodgy jury).
      * John Brennan perjury under oath (May 2017).
      * Kevin Clinesmith falsifying FISA evidence (guilty plea August this year).
      * Ongoing John Durham probe, late but not forgotten.

      https://turcopolier.typepad.com/sic_semper_tyrannis/2020/04/justice-coming-for-general-michael-flynn-by-larry-c-johnson.html

I would say there’s a lot that Trump will have to chase up if he wins, and there’s a lot of people who don’t want him to win because they don’t want to get into trouble for what they have done. Hard to find middle ground in this sort of situation.

When the only strategy of the so called “deep state” people is double down again and again … then this is where you end up. Now it’s all or nothing.

There are some in California who will never change …
There’s no chance my left-wing ‘Green as a cabbage’ sister and a longtime LA resident, would ever vote for Trump (despite her business improving under his leadership).
No, as a committed Demoncrat she firmly believes in MASSIVE government and is very anti-Trump (she says he’s a misogynist, racist Russian stooge set on destroying the USA), accordingly she believes everything against Biden is a Russian (or Chinese?) inspired hoax.

One gem I love reminding my sister is the Trump legacy.
(She always asks what is that?) Justice is my reply and for a long time I never expanded on what I meant. Well it’s this —

      From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_federal_judges_appointed_by_Donald_Trump
As of October 26, 2020, the United States Senate has confirmed 220 Article III judges nominated by Trump, including three associate justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, 53 judges for the United States courts of appeals, 162 judges for the United States district courts, and two judges for the United States Court of International Trade. There are currently 34 nominations to Article III courts awaiting Senate action, including 33 for the district courts and one for the Court of International Trade.[2] There are currently two vacancies on the U.S. courts of appeals, 55 vacancies on the U.S. district courts, and two vacancies on the U.S. Court of International Trade.[2][3][4] Trump has not made any recess appointments to the federal courts.

Justice will come thanks to Trump!

I think one thing the Morrison government should do with the ABC is not insist that they have strict impartiality but that they have at least one show hosted by a conservative commentator, who will include a majority of conservatives on its guest list. It’s the pure wall to wall leftist coverage that is so bad that it is virtually impossible for any viewer who watches predominantly ABC ( and indeed other free to air ) news and current affair services to formulate anything other than a leftist view of what is happening..
All you need is to open the door to the truth and enough people will have sufficient curiosity to seek out more information from multiple sources to ascertain the veracity of that truth. It’s been interesting how quickly my wife has been converted to my more conservative views by getting the Sky ap to hear predominantly conservative views. She got hooked in by overhearing a recent editorial when I was watching Credlin.Once you hear the truth for the first time it’s amazing how addictive it becomes. Just one conservative show on the ABC would I think be a ratings winner and a major eye opener for a lot of people. There are instances where my kids will make a leftist statement and I’ll point out that this info is not true. Their reaction is now to google what I said and Lo and behold I’m right. I may or may not convert them to my way of thinking but by encouraging a degree of fact checking a lot of the info they have assumed as true they realise might not be as factual as they thought.
Sewing the seeds of doubt is the first step to breaking down the controls that the leftist media and education system have inflicted on our population.
    The truth is out there!

I think that Zigmaster is on the right track…but unfortunately, in this current environment, it’s not going to happen. Why? Because the Government has such a narrow majority in the House of Reps that it is scared to do anything about “Stalin’s” ABC. Personally, I would love to see the ABC partly sold off, broken up and become a media outlet for regional Australia ONLY. We don’t need the ABC to brainwash urban ‘elites’ with their neo-marxist claptrap…the internet has done the job already.
