It’s pumped hydro.
Just an energy-consuming battery, not a power station which one expects to be a net producer of power.
The UK should take a lesson from Australia’s disastrous Snowy Hydro 2.
If either of these schemes were economically or engineeringly viable (as indeed some traditional pumped hydro schemes are) they would have been done long ago at a time when engineers made engineering decisions, not politicians or woke subsidy harvesters.
