By Jo Nova
With the climate olympic-junket just weeks away in Brazil, the race is on for word-salad-catastrophes flavored with science-incense to shake down more cash and concessions from the rich democracies.
And thus the University of Exeter proffers the first round of this year’s “on the brink” specials.
The first tipping point is almost upon us, just like it was every year for the last 29 years in a row:
‘New reality’ as world reaches first climate tipping point
The world faces a “new reality” as we have reached the first of many Earth system tipping points that will cause catastrophic harm unless humanity takes urgent action, according to a landmark report released today (13 Oct) by the University of Exeter and international partners.
With ministers gathering today ahead of the COP30 summit, the second Global Tipping Points Report finds that warm-water coral reefs – on which nearly a billion people and a quarter of all marine life depend – are passing their tipping point. Widespread dieback is taking place and – unless global warming is reversed – extensive reefs as we know them will be lost, although small refuges may survive and must be protected.
We are on the brink of more tipping points, with devastating risks for people and nature: the irreversible melting of polar ice sheets, the collapse of key ocean currents and the dieback of the Amazon rainforest – where COP30 will be held.
With global warming set to breach 1.5°C, the report – by 160 scientists at 87 institutions in 23 countries – argues that countries must minimise temperature overshoot to avoid crossing more tipping points. Every fraction of a degree and every year spent above 1.5°C matters.
It might as well be straight out of the Neolithic Sorcerers Cookbook — How to wind up the crowd before you ask for the goats and girls:
- Pick things the audience likes but mostly won’t have any direct experience of, like, say, corals 100km off the coast and under 10 meters of water. Even in the unlikely event a single critic dives on one reef, the real crisis will turn out to be in the 100,000 reefs they didn’t visit.
- Use vague, ill defined terms, like “climate change” which can mean long term, short term, man-made, natural, or a thing that dropped in for the weekend.
- Seed the idea that all storms, high tides, fires, demented dolphins and shonky buildings are “affected by climate change”. Even your hay fever can be a sign you should vote for a carbon tax. Soon, people will see climate change everywhere like UFO’s and Elvis.
- Whatever disaster looks like, it’s always just around the corner.
The experts got nearly everything wrong
Despite the claims of coral damage in the Exeter panic report, the largest and best studied reef in the world is just fine. Even though there was “record heat” in the last few years coral cover was better than it had been since 1986. Cyclones are the biggest smasher of reefs and they haven’t changed. Arctic sea ice stopped shrinking 20 years ago, which it wasn’t supposed to, and Antarctic sea ice grew til 2015, then shrank — which none of the experts predicted.

Peter Ridd, Reef Rebels with The AIMS annual reef survey for 2025,
If you can see an effect from man-made CO2 in global cyclones in the last 45 years, the IPCC would like to hear from you:
Whatever you do, don’t mention The Holocene. It is the wrecking ball.
Everything was hotter, seas were higher, but humans and corals survived.

Jo Nova’s tally of climate model failure continues: the hot spot is still missing, the climate models can’t predict the climate on a local, regional, or continental scale, they don’t know why global warming slowed for years, They can’t explain the pause, the cause or the long term historic climate movements either. Measurements of satellites, clouds, 3,000 ocean buoys, 6,000 boreholes, a thousand tide gauges, and 28 million weather balloons can’t find the warming that the models predict. In the oceans, the warming isn’t statistically significant, sea-levels started rising too early, aren’t rising fast enough, aren’t accelerating, nor are warming anywhere near as much as they predicted. Antarctica was supposed to be warming faster than almost anywhere but they were totally wrong. . And the only part of Antarctica that’s warming sits on top of a volcano chain they prefer not to tell you about.
No wonder expert climate modelers don’t want their own pensions bet on climate models.

Thanks again to Jo nova for trying to keep us sane for many years and I’ll have to check out some of her links. Just to check against more of the extremist nonsense that some of the yappers insist we read and then follow like good little Sheeples.

Prophet is the official job title of the head of the Church of Latte Day Saints (Mormons). Who might be a Climate Prophet?
170
It isn’t Climate Prophets, it’s the Climate Profits that the ‘Sun Reapers’ and ‘Blowing in the Wind Merchants’ are making with the Climate Scam from Taxpayers.
200
I’d say Al Gore, although he spells it ‘Profit’.
He’s been milking the Climate Cash Cow for nearly 50 years. Just today I saw a video of him from 1982 sermonizing on Gorebul Warming.
No one has been more consistently wrong longer than the Goracle.
220
I find it hard to accept anyone can believe the usual doom and gloom scenarios that are flogged by these people. We have been hearing their ongoing junk for many years, none of which came true. Most people who are continually wrong hide away after a few drubbings, However the trough is too appealing and the dollars keep rolling so I guess no lie is too big, no prophesy too outrageous for them. As Jo often points out, nothing is researched widely. I like many others just wish they would shut up, go away, leave us alone and stop wasting our money. That includes our energy minister!
600
It is a result of the deliberate dumbing-down of the education system since the Left took control of it in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
480
“That includes our energy minister”
Sorry Dave, we don’t have an energy minister in Australia – we have a deluded and ignorant buffoon dedicated to being the Minister for No Energy.

Australian Labor Blackout Bowen slavishly (Like Albo & Toto) following Labour UK
October 13, 2025 – UK electricity prices continue to rise
The story being peddled by Keir Starmer’s UK Labor government is that rising household electricity bills are a result of a climb in the wholesale price of natural gas due to a constriction of Russian natural gas. That narrative worked fine in 2022 and 2023 to placate ratepayers when wholesale gas prices were high, but it is wearing thin now that the wholesale price of natural gas has fallen.
What has been rising steadily since 2015 is the amount of network costs, green generation subsidies, and tax that gets added to household electricity bills
Currently, UK residents pay some of the highest prices for electricity in the world, and if the current trend continues, it will rise even further.
The Labor government’s slavish devotion to net zero accounts for the rise.
Moreover, the UK has employed offshore wind generation to a much greater degree than other countries, and it is expensive, over three times more expensive than onshore wind to build (EIA estimate: 6,000 USD/kW vs. 1,700 USD/kW).
The government is trying to avoid further defacing the English landscape with solar panels and wind turbines, so it’s relying more heavily on offshore wind.
However, all of this could be avoided if the government gave up on its net zero ambitions. With Nigel Farage’s Reform party leading in the polls, it is looking more likely that there will be a course correction after the next election.
The UK is rich in coal and natural gas.
After all, it was because of this bounty that the industrial revolution got its start there.
It is the refusal on the part of both Conservative and Labor parties to frack for gas or mine for coal that has made energy prices the highest in the developed world.
England has a history of shooting itself in the foot.
340
OO – “… it is looking more likely that there will be a course correction after the next election.”
Indeed so, but the next election is not due until July 2029.
That is 45 months away.
A lot of damage to the nation’s industry and defence [inter alia] will be done in those months – certainly if the Minatory Mr. Miliband remains our Secretary of State for Energy Security [etc.].
Sir Starmer’s landslide last July [2024] was wide – a majority of over 150, even allowing for the marxist/muslim defectors; yet he got the votes of 20.1% of those actually entitled to vote.
And many didn’t bother registering for that democratic privilege.
I looked at a chicken in the supermarket today, and per its entrails, the omens don’t look good.
I try – and I am sure that many reading here do, too – to raise awareness of the scam, regularly to blogs, MP, friends etc. But I fear little headway is being made.

I had a youngish female teacher in the early ’60’s that was a full on card carrying lefty, so they’ve been in front of the blackboard for a long time.
200
Ronin’s early ’60 teacher likely used colored chalk, mostly white, on a sheet of black slate. In the modern age boards are frequently green and yellow chalk is used. The science says it is better. Then again, erasable markers are often used on white boards. My teachers in the ’50s wore black with white collars and I think they were mostly right handers.
20
And your point is?
20
They were black boards, green boards weren’t in use back then, not slate although I had slates in grades 1, 2 and 3, sponge in a jar with Pinoclean and water.

What a wonderful take down Jo. Your satirical take on the absolute stupidity of modern universities is getting better by the ever increasing frequency of ridiculous reports. Just like the Hamas supporters with their weekly demonstrations the shock horror screams from irrelevant scientists are falling on ears that are not listening. Their days in the sun are long gone due to failed predictions and higher bills with nothing of benefit to the poor schmucks paying the price. Thanks Jo for bringing this idiocy into the light in such a humourous way.

Amazing that these donkeys always insist we continue to waste trillions of $ on toxic, unreliable W & S and all for a ZERO change by 2050 or 2100.
And China India and the NON OECD countries continue to build record numbers of coal and gas BASELOAD energy for a guaranteed more prosperous future.

Sounds like just the scary story they need to implement digital IDs so they can implement even more person tracking, tracing, control and energy use restrictions.
And that’s why the fully woke countries like Australia are so keen on the free range prisons known as “15 minute cities” by the UN and WEF and rebranded in Australia as “20 minute neighbourhoods” or “activity centres”.

Hopefully, decent, normal, pro-science, pro-reason, pro-freedom people have also reached their “tipping point” and will start voting for genuine conservative politicians who support such views.

” … genuine conservative politicians who support such views”
Hmm – perhaps Australia has some – I hope so.
We, in the UK, have the Useless Tories and Nigel’s hodge-podge of Reform – tho I read they may be rowing back on tax-cuts, but are still promising six expensive things before breakfast…
Suffice to say that, in the UK, the field of “genuine conservative politicians who support such views” does not seem to be very crowded!!

Missing entirely from the Climate Change bible is any science at all. Rational Science is a system built on absolute truth, one step at a time. Thanks to Rene Descartes. Mathematics was the model.
I have yet to see any proof that half of all fossil fuel CO2 stays in the air forever. Without the foundational argument of man made CO2, whether CO2 has an effect on the weather is irrelevant. We humans did not do it.
And the second far less obvious point is that we humans could change the amount of CO2 in the air if we wanted to do so. Carbon Credits, tree planting, fallow land, shutting power stations, burning wood chips instead of coal are just wrong if you cannot change CO2. And we cannot. The evidence is overwhelming. CO2 levels are totally controlled by the oceans where 98% of all CO2 lives.
One of the most ridiculous questions I get on Quora and even from physicists is that if the 50% increase in CO2 is NOT from fossil fuel, what is the source? When 98% of all CO2 is simply dissolved in the ocean.
290
This “half the fossil fuel CO2 stays in the air forever” fantasy is essential for Climate Science.
Fact1. The annual growth in atmospheric CO2 is 0.4%.
Fact2 The annual output of fossil fuel CO2 has just reached 1% of atmospheric CO2, so double.
So we are told that half of the CO2 released goes into the ocean and half stays in the air for some reason. Forever.
Next year the same thing. Half into the ocean and half into the air. Forever.
If this makes any sense at all, I would love to hear a scientific explanation. Any explanation. But it is axiomatic in The Science.
I have heard a story that there are two separate oceans. The ‘Surface ocean’ and the dark mysterious ‘Deep Ocean’. In this story the surface ocean is ‘full’, which is odd when the pH is 8.0 or alkali and even soda water is 4.2. 10,000x as much CO2 at a very low pressure of 2.5 atmospheres. That’s only 15 metres under the surface. Air pressure is one atmosphere.
Anyway, if the surface oceans is full, why take even half? Every year. Is it some sort of limited immigration system?
If this is science, it should make some sort of sense. But it doesn’t. It’s all to cover up the fact that the linear growth in CO2 is half of emissions.
170
Again, here’s the co2 emissions data for the world, the OECD , the NON-OECD and tiny Australia.
The world trajectory is basically the same since 1945.
The World + the NON OECD is heading up, up, up and the OECD heading down.
We could waste endless trillions of $ to 2040 and 2100 and it won’t make a scrap of difference.
When will they WAKE UP and think?
https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/annual-co2-emissions-per-country?country=OWID_WRL~OECD+%28GCP%29~Non-OECD+%28GCP%29~AUS
160
In the point made recently, it was claimed that Australia has reduced CO2 ’emissions’ by 27%. But that counts the rewilding of farmland as absorbing CO2. The actual reduction in Australia is 3%. Which is insane when you look at all the windmills, but hardly a ‘solution’ if they have zero effect on CO2 output? Our own national arithmetic shows it hasn’t made a scrap of difference.
All this unscientific carbon arithmetic is based on the idea that atmospheric CO2 is static and we can add to it and subtract from it, that CO2 is NOT in dynamic furious exchange with the vast oceans which contain 98% of all free Co2 gas. Which is the accepted and provable truth in real science.
CO2 in the air is nothing more than the fixed vapour pressure of a dissolved gas in the vast oceans. If the oceans warmed and CO2 decreased by a tiny 1%, atmospheric CO2 would increase 50%. And it would be our fault?
130
I also note that Australia does not get a mention at all. New Zealand does. Ireland does. It seems we are lumped in Oceania?
60
It’s a little known fact that “tipping points” were named after Al Gore’s wife Mary Elizabeth, nicknamed Tipper, not because she was nice to wait staff, but because she kept derailing Al’s run for the presidency, eventually won by Bill Clinton in 1992

I always find their insistence that 1.5 degrees is a tipping point loses all credibility when they try to use coral reefs as the poster child. Coral exists in climates where the temperature varies by over 5 degrees from other regions. It also has existed through global climate changes of at least 5 degree differences over the last Millenia. A prediction of the death of the reef is just not credible.
181
I recall when it was 2 dgrees C. But that wasnt likely to happen, so wasn’t scary enough. It’s just arbitrary.

I loved the warmenista fright bat a few years ago who railed against the death of the “half a million years old” Great Barrier Reef, ignoring the fact that 12,000 years ago where the GBR is now was dry land.
When this was pointed out all trace of his rant disappeared from the web.

I would suggest that we have reached the first ‘Tipping Point’ of dumping ‘Nut Zero’ with people beginning to realise that this Climate Alarmism is just one Big Scam.
Looking forward to the ongoing ‘Tipping Points’.
Onwards and Upwards back to ‘Reality’.
231
As I keep saying, the fundamental problem with warmists is that they have an Aristotlean world view that the world is static and unchanging. Therefore they are terrified of any change no matter how minor, real or fabricated.
Modern science, at least, as it used to be taught, understands that the world climate is undergoing constant change, including in historical times such as the Minoan, Egyptian, Roman and Medieval warm periods when Civilisation thrived.
The reasons for natural climate change are mostly known and understood, e.g. Milankovitch Cycles, changes in insolation from our variable star, the sun, the 18.6 year wobble of the moon’s orbit, changes in cosmic ray flux etc..
Incidentally, the moon’s 18.6 year lunar nodal precession is expected to cause increased coastal flooding in the 2030’s due to higher tides. This happens every 18.6 years. Australia shutting down its energy supply won’t stop that.
240
Does the 18.6 year cycle affect all parts of Australia almost simultaneously? I.e., do we see the low point on similar dates all around the country? And where are we on this cycle?. My understanding is that WA has passed the low point a few years ago.
40
Found the answer – the next trough is in 2031. The last peak was in 2021.
30
The other scare at the moment is about a couple of lacklustre harvests in England. Some grifter was saying that more CO2 doesn’t help crops. Knowing full well, of course, that CO2 is most beneficial in dry climates.

Has Australia ever had a Prime Minister and Foreign Minister as bad as Elbow and Mr Wong? Or for that matter a Treasurer as incompetent and greedy as Chalmers or an absurd pantomime minister for the weather, Chris Bowen?
It’s a bad dream team.
250
Huh!
Remember when it was ….. you need to throw more of your own pay into your own Superannuation. It’s a steep rise at the end, and the more you have, the better you’ll live in your old age, and we (as the Government) get to save money because you won’t be needing a pension.
If I recall correctly, it was Labor who consistently pushed this mantra, and over decades.
And now, that greedy B@$terd Chalmers is eying it off as a source of ….. “other people’s money”.
Tony.
200
Well yes, because basically it’s the same mob from the R/G/R years and they were bad then. For those from another planet R/G/R stands for Rudd/Gillard/Rudd or the revolving door of Labor PM’s we had in Australia between 2007 and 2013. Somehow us voters managed to recycle the same useless lot again for a repeat performance. As for Chalmers, he’s a protege of Wayne Swan – enough said.
100
His PhD was in the works of Paul Keating. And Keating was openly aghast at Chalmer’s planned theft and destruction of people’s life savings in Superannuation. This was the scenario which Keating was against all his life, that the government would steal the money in the end. His idea was to let people pay for their own retirement instead of relying on the government. The Future Fund was also savings to fund Public Service superannuation. And Chalmer’s idea is simple theft to pay the Party’s ballooning costs, not least for the Climate Change fantasy but also NDIS and Aboriginal $42Billion a year and endless government employees to enforce all the environmental disasters now destroying even National Parks and wilderness. Allegedly for the common good.
I was thinking of horses today as racing clubs are under pressure, selling off all their land. Caulfield and Moonee Valley in Melbourne. An example of Government Green insanity, the ‘environmentalists’ who want to end ‘enslavement’ of horses demand an end to race clubs. Which is really sad because racing is the only reason we still have horses at all as they are not needed commercially anywhere. I remember well the home horse deliveries for just about everything. It was only yesterday.
But the same Greens who want the horses set ‘free’ are the ones demanding culling of horses by men in helicopters with rifles as the brumbies range free in the protected mountains parks. To save certain treasured species of frog. Allegedly. And the end to Mt Panorama to respect aboriginal ownership of Mount Panorama, which is nonsense. Or the blue banded bee, which was just made up but stopped a gold mine and more actual government income.
Climate Change is a lie. There is no science involved.
You have to conclude that environmentalists hate all humans and horses and dogs and cats. Except their own. And everyone should work for the government, like every good socialist. Chalmers and Bowen are utterly complicit in it. The Safeguard Mechanism is a disgrace and the hiding of this massive 35% CO2 tax is a testament to the complicity of the activist press for whom the Labor Party/Greens can do no wrong.

I prefer to use D/D/D, as in Dudd/Dullard/Dudd.
It seems that what we have in Canberra is the dregs of what was a bloody awful lot even back then.
Sadly, it seems that the politicians around the entire country are at a talent low point, with a mere handful of exceptions, that has never before been seen in Australian history.
What a bunch of totally hopeless wankers, on both sides.

And in the UK, the high point appears to be Mr. Farage, who reminds me of a cartoon 1940s spiv, fag, long coat and ‘something’ black market inside it.

Jo’s right (as usual). Right, as in correct. The climate catastrophists will always use a very uncommon metric as their proof. So, coral reefs which would be visited by a proportion of people way less 1 %. Probably a % with many zeros in font of it. The same % would visit the North Pole or Antarctica. Most likelyy on cruise ships. None would be told the actual real science anyway. Told some rubbish by a 20 yo tour guide reading from a script. The alarmism about coral reefs was/is always ridiculous. A quick read of any geological history of the earth will mention ice ages and changes in climate by many degrees ˚C. Hell, they even made family movies about it! If the corals have survived millions of years through ice ages, a little warming is not going to affect them in the slightest. Man made climate change is just a scam.
90
Interesting. It was the AlGorithm of “An Inconvenient Truth” that omitted any mention of the Ice Ages that started me on the path of scepticism.
20
The thing with the right is that they’ve been right so far.
10
Tipping points.
This was a device in the origin Al Gore story. An allegation of tipping points where you get catastrophic collapse, where a slight increase in one thing produces an increase in another which then increases the first. This is positive feedback and leads to catastrophic collapse. Acoustic feedback is an example where the microphone hears the speaker and a pin drop produces a high pitched scream.
Except it is ridiculous conjecture by an innumerate billionaire who wanted to be President. This alleged positive feedback only happens with very simple systems with few ‘degrees of freedom’. There are so many ways for a world wide system multi variate system to deal with changes that we do not expect such a thing in the real world.
And there has been no RAPID Global Warming, no RAPID growth in CO2 which has been a dead straight line for 50 years where CO2 emissions have been exponential and no sign at all of a hot spot with water vapour feedback. So it was all made up, the inconvenient truth. No surprises there.
Surely 37 years after tipping points were prophesised, it’s just absurd to be waiting for the Global Warming rapture? Or use the elephant repellent logic that we must have solved the problem with 500,000 windmills, most of which are a total waste of money simply because they are unreliable.
There is almost no industry or transport on the planet which works on unreliable energy. WHich is why all the thousands of windmills in Europe stopped working the moment the steam engine was invented!
It took real genius to sell again without any fiscal justification except Armageddon based on conjecture and backed up with a boogey man of fantasy ‘tipping points’
130
It’s more than 37 years, in the last week of 1986 I was told with a dead straight face by a CSIRO meteorologist that CO2 concentration had reached run away greenhouse effect levels in March of that year, as they had predicted 5 years previously.
So they’ve been pushing this since almost the moment they switched from “we’re all gonna freeze” to “we’re all gonna fry” around about 1980.
20
Donald Trump at the UN said they had a bet each way. That’s why they call it Climate Change. Either way they are right. I was thrilled that he said this at the UN. So they turned off the speakers and his teleprompter and only those who had translators heard his speech. He later said he should take all the money and build a giant robot which would kick the building into the river. It was a fantastic comment. He thinks the UN stinks. So does most of the world. 80,000 people pretending they control the weather.

I never thought I would live to see the day when politicians controlled the weather and taxed us for breathing out and arresting people simply for expressing an opinion. So much for science and fair government by the people for the people. It’s all about the money and power for the few who travel the world first class on our money. Elbow and Mr Wong in particular.
Socially we may as well be in the dark ages with governments like this. I just hope the example of the very courageous Donald Trump sets a standard for other would be Democracies. Rarely has anyone stood up to the American political and legal system and their assassins and survived. And no one I know would have stood up and shaken his fist when shot. Fight!

So what is this so called new reality today for Humans since 1961?
Certainly the calories per day per person are much higher since 1960 and the continents are shown in OWI Data graphs.
Don’t forget that the population in 1961 was just over 3 billion and 7.98 billion in 2022 and yet global calories per person are nearly 3,000 today and much lower in 1961.
African calories were under 1900 calories in 1961 and over 2500 calories today.
Africa’s population in 1961 just 291 million and 1427 million in 2022.Think about those remarkable numbers.
Our climate and Human flourishing today are unprecedented since Humans survived as a separate species. That’s 300,000 years ago.
When will our stupid donkeys look up the data and start to think?
IOW we are now living in the safest and most prosperous period in Human history.

The Climate Creed: How Fear Replaced Science – By Mark Keenan
For decades, politicians and pundits have told us that “the science is settled.”
Those four words have become a shield for power and a sword against dissent.
But real science thrives on inquiry and investigation; not the suppression of it. What has emerged instead is not science at all, but a kind of secular faith — one that demands belief in man-made CO2-induced climate catastrophe and punishes heresy. Yet, many scientists, including scientists that have worked within the climate bureaucracy, know how fragile the claim that “climate change is caused by CO2” really is.
As a former scientist with the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change and later a technical expert for United Nations Environment, I saw firsthand how the modern climate narrative was shaped — not by evidence, but by politics. Uncertainty wasn’t treated as a question to investigate; it was treated as a threat to suppress. Entire careers and institutions came to depend on preserving a preordained conclusion: that carbon dioxide, the same gas that feeds plant life, is destroying the planet.

The value added per farm worker has certainly increased a lot since 1991 to 2023 but even Aussies beaten by Israel, yet still very high.
The world increase is still nearly 3 times more over that 32 year period and active graphs make it easy to calculate.
But Humans have really flourished since the start of the Industrial Revolution.

We hit a tipping point, but what happened? The climate is still here, we still have the seasons and daytime and nightime changes. Can some “climate tipping point believer” please tell me exactly what just happened?
91
The tipping point was Donald Trump. He calls it a hoax run by China. And he is obviously right and scientifically spot on. I have not seen any evidence that humans can change CO2 if we wanted to do so. It’s all a lie. Ukraine v Russia next. While Trump’s team clean up the Climate/Communist/Mass illegal migration swamp at home. And migrants who do not like America can get a free ticket home, especially if they are politicians.

Why would anyone red thumb that? Usually someone on a mobile.

Climate tipping points is unreal, but global warming is another matter.
‘Melting permafrost has already triggered giant sinkholes, slumping phone lines, damaged highways and airport runways, and industrial pollution from melting containment wells. In May 2020, melting permafrost resulted in a Siberian diesel-waste spill of 20,000 metric tons, contaminating an area the size of Philadelphia.’ (Forbes)

So? The alleged problem is man made CO2 driven rapid global warming.
The world has been warming since the last ice age, a mere 10,000 years ago when New York was under 1km of ice. And then you get regional variation. There is not one temperature for the planet. It’s a make believe construction of debatable value in specific places and times. Some places are heating more than others and some cooling more than others. I have been across Siberia. It’s nice and warm in summer if you don’t notice the trees bent double, you could think it a great p[lace to live. And absolutely appalling in winter, with winter temperatures of -70C. Like so much of the arctic region or any area a long way from water.

CO2 does not cause global warming.
‘Australia during the early to middle Holocene resulted from (1) decreased El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) variability, which reduced the frequency of El Niño-triggered droughts, (2) the prevalence of a more La Niña-like mean climatic state in the tropical Pacific Ocean, which increased available atmospheric moisture, and (3) a southward shift in the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ICTZ), which allowed tropical summer storms associated with the Australian summer monsoon (ASM) to penetrate deeper into the southern part of the continent.
‘The onset of heightened aridity and apparent increase in large flood frequency at c. 5 ka is interpreted to indicate the establishment of an ENSO-like climate in arid Australia in the late Holocene, consistent with a variety of other terrestrial and marine proxies. The broad synchroneity of Holocene climate change across much of the Australian continent with changes in ENSO behavior suggests strong teleconnections amongst ENSO and the other climate systems such as the ASM, Indian Ocean Dipole, and Southern Annular Mode.’ (Quigley et al 2010)

Yes, the mathematical analysis of actual European thermometers from 1750 to 2000 with just the AMO/PDO and the De Vries solar cycle is an amazing fit for Europe.
And I am amazed at the creation of a world temperature going back a thousand years in places which were not even discovered like Antarctica and oceans which were not sailed.
So we are supposed to believe data established by endless proxies and extrapolation and to believe this invented data is accurate to 1C averaged over night and day and seasons?
The best analysis I have ever seen fits thermometer based data perfectly, 12 inflexion points with only two sine waves of the best known cycles and WITHOUT CO2.
30
The PDO is out of phase with the AMO until around 2030, when they’ll both be negative, then it should get cooler.

‘Tipping point’ can be considered a historical indicator point for the failure of the age of scientific enlightenment as we once naively imagined it.
Much like many of the contorted theological constructs of our last system for attempting to understand a universe for which we lack the ability to comprehend.
Staring into the sky through a really expensive telescope is a great gig if you can get it.
Best to be custodian of the pyramid than potential fodder for the sacrifice.

Is the tipping point the area where old wind turbines and solar panels are dumped?

There’s a cartoon in that image:
Add 1/2 a dozen pollies,
some ground lobbyists,
a pinch of Greens,
a bag of lime,
open a good hearty red & enjoy, slowly… 🍷

The digital ID in the UK has extremely rapidly turned from “to stop immigration” to become an open way to control all behaviours, block access to the web and bank accounts.
No one will even be allowed to hear opposition to anything exists in their digital “Utopia” = digital slavery.
I presume the same is already on its way to Australia.

I am extremely disappointed. Exeter used to have an excellent Geology Department. I know because thats where I got my Geology degree in the late 60s. My degree included the study of the Quaternary paleoclimates and the factors that caused climate changes (nothing to do with the industrial revolution). Where are those erudite lecturers when they peddle such rubbish now? Professor Scott Simpson who was an eminent Quaternary Geologist and teacher will be rolling in his grave.

The graph on hurricanes looks to have a diminishing mean.
