Has anyone noticed the forest fires in Europe…due to climate change, of course.
I would think of a thousand smart remarks, like ma nature trying to balance ut C oh two ..
but having been in a forest fire, they are genuinely terrifying.
In the US west, things were controlled for many years. The fires are a natural thing…lightning, ya know, but if
you permit a fair amount of logging dispersed across your entire forest you have both fire-beaks and roads,
not to mention heavy equipment and operators that will pitch in when needed. Sequester some to stay natural, put th rest on a cycle length
determined by the tree species, keep the arborists busy watching for beetles and botulism, and you have a healthy forest and manageable
fires. Drought years are tougher so you pre-position assets and stop controlled burns then.
We did this for about 80 years.
Then we were told to stop, sometimes by people who, I swear, had never seen a tree that wasn’t growing in a pot. SO the Pseudo-scientific left banned most logging and forestry
in flyover country, and our fires have been more difficult ever since. These aren’t virgin growth forests in Europe, either, for the most part, as wood was their primary construction material for buildings and boats for, oh, 20 centuries. But now we “preserve” them, and so they burn.

For instance, allegedly the Mafia have been tying flammable rags to the tails of cats and releasing them from cars into the countryside. They’ve found candles burning in scrub. And various delayed ignition contraptions.
Most of these fires are no more natural or accidental than they are ‘fueled by climate change’.

It’s a recognised thing but not woke to discuss it. Leftists want to deny it exists because the demographic from which the terrorists are drawn is their preferred support base.

Instead the authorities prefer to tell everyone when the optimum time is to go out and set fires with their extreme fire risk warnings which are more intended to promote the climate change narrative.
It’s very noticeable in the UK that we get plenty of instant BBQ fires up to the point the BBC start issuing the warnings, then the big deliberate fires start.

I was astonished to read of the breadth and depth of Canada euthanasia law with some 16000 people annually dying through it. In Britain they are trying to get such a law on the statute books but it would seem the Canadian definition for euthanasia is broadly drawn with not everyone seeming that willing.

Housebuilding in Britain is expected to surge following the influx of migrants that the general population say are not wanted but falls on Deaf Govt ears.
I think there is a similar situation in Oz with the population surging, often with people from China, SE Asia and India.
In Britain there is a practical block on housebuilding, the disposal of sewage. You can couple that with the lack of reservoir capacity to supply Britain’s water needs, without even diverting down the topic of data centres and their use of water. Come to that, where is the electricity coming from?
Obviously the elite in both our countries have got the matters well in hand and will deal with any problems that arise with their usual level of competence.

On the whole Britain has more water than OZ but it has an aging infrastructure. I don’t know whether water or sewage disposal in Australia is a concern as your population grows?

Does the recombinant shingles vaccine reduce the risk of dementia?
On a side note: I got shingles when I was trekking in the Himalayas and I was way beyond medical help with nowhere close for a medical helicopter to land so I had to tolerate it and push on and it was absolutely miserable (not that medical intervention would have helped much even if available). Prior to that, the medical recommendation was that my age group at the time didn’t need to get the vaccine but that changed soon after.

Its quite easy the fabricate a biased study. People who vaccinate care for themselves better etc.
I would suggest that taking 5000U of Vit D3 per day would achieve far more including preventing or reducing the impact of any infection and cancer as a side benefit. Not just shingles any infection.
Even TB struggles to kill you with adequate Vit D levels.

Talking about water and society, the key point is that there is no shortage of water just much has salt with it.
