Rep Marjorie Greene to file Biden impeachment on Jan 21 for foreign influence

Biden to face impeachment charges on Day 1 of his presidency

Hours after the House voted to impeach Donald Trump, a Republican announced she would file for impeachment of Joe Biden:

“We have to make sure our leaders are accountable and … not easily bought off by foreign governments” — Marjorie Greene

“If the Democrats want to lower the bar on what impeachment is, let’s roll with that.”

Newsmax TV

….

The Hill:

In her Newsmax interview Wednesday, which aired hours after the House voted to impeach Trump for a second time, the Greene said she plans on filing the articles of impeachment to show Americans that “there are Republicans in Congress that are willing to stand up and fight for them.”

“I’m a big believer of having people in office who are actually willing to do the job, and I can’t imagine people in this country being so fearful of a future of a Biden presidency that they may be willing to commit violence like they did in the Capitol here in Washington, D.C. We cannot have that, I do not condone that violence,” the congresswoman said.

Note that in October last year, there were people pointing out that the Democrats would be happy to impeach Biden themselves if they won. All hail Kamala.

It will fail but full marks for having a go. Use their tactics against them. I note many RINOs chose their twitter account over principle and voted with Nasty Nancy to cruxify their President even as more and more video emerges that Nasties own attack dogs, Antifa, caused the furore at the Capitol. Has NN allowed evidence to be presented or does she hide it like the crooked voting. I thought there were only a small number of people who could be called evil, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot and the like but Nasty Nancy should be in their number also. She is so consumed by hate it will likely cause her demise. The sooner the better for everyone’s sake.

      Who trained our journalists?

By my understanding, impeachment is a process which requires completion of a programme. When the Democrats tried to impeach President Trump that process was never completed. He was not impeached.

Now, as they make a second attempt, our media tell us that he is already impeached for a second time on the first vote. Not true.

So, why do they lie to us?

I wonder how many of those media players know that President Nixon was not impeached.

Correct: the house presents the CHARGE of impeachment which is then trialled in the senate. The first impeachment CHARGE did not result in a conviction. In any event a conviction in the senate is not a criminal conviction but a political conviction.

The demorats are doing this for 2 reasons: firstly to maintain unity in their wretched party because without Trump they would have nothing to unify them. Secondly to attempt to prevent Trump from running again. A conviction of the CHARGE of impeachment in the senate requires a 2/3 majority which would remove Trump from office. However, all that is required to bar Trump from running for any office again is arguably, a simple majority. The demorats will have an effective majority in the senate after Trump leaves and arguably, although Trump can no longer be removed from office if the demorats continue their impeachment in the senate they can prevent Trump from running again.

Yes – “impeachment” is an untidy word that is ambiguous, and used loosely.

But in American parlance, “Impeached” is definitely used to mean a simple majority in the House, even prior to any trial outcome in the Senate. It is not journalists’ fault. If the Senate did find an impeached president guilty, what would they call him or her- Uber-Impeached? Mega-Impeached? The Big Tamale?

I think this Impeachment event was pretty weak, as was Bill Clinton lying about his sex life, and Andrew Johnson’s in 1868 was a bitter post Civil War political play.

The only one in my view that didn’t devalue the currency was the attempt to stand over (and withhold funds from) the Ukrainian prime minister for political advantage. To me that one was nasty, and deserved the hammer.

I’ve never hear or read anyone claiming that Richard Nixon was impeached … the threat of it was sufficient for him to resign.

The media lie to us because they know that people would rather hear a comforting lie than an unpleasant truth. In this vein, Karl Marx’s famous statement about religion being the opiate of the masses could more appropriately retooled, for our times of almost universal deceit, to ‘the media is the opiate of the masses’.

A symbolic gesture, nothing more. It would be more relevant to use the 25th amendment against Biden, because he is clearly not all there.

“The amendment, ratified in 1967, created a legal mechanism for designating a head of state when the president is disabled or dead. It also formalized the historical practice for the vice president to permanently take over if the president dies or resigns, and gives the president and Congress shared power to replace a vice president.”

Why would the majority of Dems impeach Biden? He seems fairly malleable and will cave to every demand from The Swamp, just too see his term out. That said, the left of the party will of course want him out of the way – I’m just not sure they would have the numbera.

If he wins, he’s a legend and beyond moral reproach.
If he loses, he’s and even bigger legend.

Why would the majority of Dems impeach Biden?

Not one Democrat will vote for the impeachment of Joe Biden … the political gesture by Marjorie Greene won’t get even to first base; impeachments are not run from the minority benches.

An impeachment offence is anything that a majority of the House says is an impeachable offence, but you have to have the majority.

BTW – I think assertions that Joe Biden is a frail old dude with a confirmed booking at the Alzheimer Hilton, and the sock-puppet of the left, are likely exaggerated. People might well be surprised by his capacity to keep the Democrat factions on the rails for four years – particularly with a majority in the Senate.

Keep on with your delusions on Biden, but the reality is that he is merely a front man. A politician who has achieved zero in his many many years in Congress. Its because of this that he was chosen so that those behind the scenes can push their dangerous agenda forward.

He will not last his term.

Continuous lying, smearing and destruction are all that Democrats are capable of. Watch as we have one ridiculous politically correct act after another pushed through, all to the detriment of the US population and benefiting small noisy and nasty “interest” groups.

Agreed! Where was the evidence for Trump’s latest impeachment? When did he get the chance to defend the charges against him? How come the incident at the Capitol begin while Trump was still speaking to his followers a half-hour walk from the Capitol? Why was Nance the Dance unable to wait for evidence as to who was involved in the Capitol break-in?

OK. Start with Joe Biden, who supports his son Hunter (under investigation for over a year for money laundering while his co-horts are in jail). Karmala, who supported the bail funding of those arrested for the destruction in various cities (Minneapolis, Kenosha, etc) last summer. Then Eric Swalwell (D-Facebook) for sleeping with the enemy. There are so many candidates on the Democrat side it is amazing! Impeach me, my sweet impeachable you!

There is no doubt that the use of Article 25 and the impeachment process will be weapons the Democrats can use for Joe Biden. They already impeached Donald Trump for threatening to withhold funds to Ukraine for political purposes and despite plenty of evidence that he did nothing went through with it. Joe Biden as Vice President boasted about doing exactly the same. The emails on Biden’s jnr laptop point to foreign influence from China , Russia, Ukraine on behalf of Joe. Basically Joe is a dead man walking. One wrong move the radical left will hang potential impeachment over his head.
So lowering the bar by impeaching Trump suits them perfectly. It’s only a matter of time.

I started watching US politics after Trump announced his candidacy. In the five years since I have worked out that being logical and obvious does not mean it will happen. Not only, but mainly with the dems.

In ’16 it was obvious that Hillary was a hopeless candidate and she was a place marker for whoever was the anointed one. Well, in spite of being hopeless SHE was the anointed one and ballot stuffing would get her elected in spite of being one of the least likeable candidates EVA.

I’ll skip the many other things that seemed impossible until they weren’t and come to today. It is “obvious” that Kamala will be POTUS sooner than later. We all agree on that don’t we?

Don’t bet on it. The democrats are crazy and the powerbrokers will polish a turd, push it uphill against a headwind and claim that it is the most popular turd EVA. They have just done it once, why should they stop now?

Us outsiders would be well advised to simply wait and see, let others speculate. They are far from a united party with a single purpose.

Yeah, dunno. While appealing at first glance, if the Dems do want Joe out of the way this looks like Greene is initiating their dirty work for them. Dems will claim the moral high ground that even though they love Biden they don’t blindly resist justice like the repubs do. I’d rather the Dems knock off Biden all by themselves, it’s only a matter of time anyway. I hope the filing is knocked back – at least the intention and the grounds have been given air I think that’s enough. Plus, what’s the latest polling? Is it 70+% of Americans across the board don’t want any impeachments, they want the politique to focus on the immediate problems the public are suffering with daily.

US globalists’ goal is to quell dissenting and negative voices at home by targeting prominent politicians and business people, academics, students and American public via MSM and Dems
The party-line is to go after all top Republicans.
12-3-20 William Evanina, from the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence, said the Chinese were also focusing on people close to Mr Biden’s team. Evanina said it was an influence campaign “on steroids”.

    ………………………………………………

1-13-21 The Business Roundtable (composed of some 150 very large corporations) said in a press statement that President Donald Trump’s behavior “encouraging an assault on the Capitol” and his calls to overturn the results of the election “deserves the strongest possible condemnation.”

CNN’s John Berman pushed back on Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., Wednesday morning for faulting “both sides” for last week’s riots at the Capitol. Berman had spent several minutes pressing Buck to answer if President Donald Trump deserves to be impeached for encouraging his supporters to storm the Capitol. But Buck said after years of increasing animosity between Republicans and Democrats, blaming one Trump speech for the riots is inaccurate. Buck added, “what I’m trying to suggest to you is that both sides are at fault and that in America,” before Berman interrupted him to ask “What on earth did any other side do than the side that invaded the U.S. Capitol?” Buck answered: “It wasn’t as if the president gave one speech and all of a sudden people went from perfectly calm and thoughtful demeanor to this violent action that occurred.” https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/live-blog/2021-01-13-trump-impeachment-25th-amendment-n1253971/ncrd1254111#liveBlogHeader

About time and nice to see the new crop come with a backbone.

As for Cheney and McTurtle who are happy to impeach Trump on political grounds, they are a getting sent a message by both voter base and other Reps. Latest polls show around 75% of GOP voters would not vote for a Rep who voted to impeach.

Other Reps are asking Cheney to step down from the #3 position because of her anti Trumpism. She’s indistinguishable from the nutty Dems with TDS. Mitch McTurtle thinks he’s immune from voter backlash because he’sin for 6 years and will likely retire than run agsin. That’s a mistaken belief nonetheless.

What’s that saying Aussies use? The base polishing their baseball bats in readiness? Figuratively speaking of course. Many of the establishment GOP are on thin ice with their base (such as Lindsay Graham), majority of whom are Trump people.

I really don’t think the Dems will impeach Biden. I predict he will simply step down on his own accord, I think that was the plan all along. Kampala was unable to win the presidency on her own merits, she had to ride into the WH on the coat tails of a man.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Once Biden has a taste of that power, he will not want to give it up. He may be senile, but the petty pursuit of power common among Democratic politicians is all consuming and is all that will remain after the rest of his brain turns into calcified toast.

There’s little doubt that this is why they lowered the bar for impeachment down to a whim.

I claim impartiality … I do not like Trump at all – he’s far too much like the blustering loud dudes in white shoes you find in golf clubs – while I think Joe Biden is too old, and lives too much in the past. Both have baggage.

However I do not like “both-siderism” – whatever Joe Biden said to Ukrainian officials while his son was shilling for Burisma is not necessarily good optics, but it doesn’t detract from what Donald Trump tried to pull. He should have been found guilty in my view … and had the GOP dumped Trump then, I think they would have the presidency and Senate today.

Its arguable that the leadership of the US is now so very obviously a set of titular roles, with K-Street calling the shots as directed by big business and other actors. See this blog piece from October 2020, which seems to go alongway to explaining recent pertubations in US politics.

So, what “charges” exactly with the Biden impeachment be based on ?

Yes, but that is not my point..
If you are going to “impeach” a sitting president, you need to have some relavent evidence of wrongdoing, to support the charge ,…or you will just be laughed out of the building.
We all believe there is plenty of “Wrongdoing” hidden behind his public image, but who has the evidence and what charges will be leveled at him ?

Don’t underestimate the hatred in the Democrats. They quickly got rid of Harris in the primaries. Impeach her first. Get the thieves to publish Pelosi’s laptop data, that will be for sale. Then impeach Biden. He cannot survive Hunter’s laptop. Democrats love to hate and that includes each other. The numbers are tight in both the house and the senate. The VP does not get to decide the senate if 1 Democrat crosses the floor.

I was referring to any debate topic with 1 democrat in the senate. The infighting will be intense as they do not have policy. By the time Harris impeachment is tried they will need 16 Democrat senators but that will be achievable as she is disliked by many. Biden is anyone’s puppet and they like that. However Pelosi’s laptop will force her resignation. Hunter’s laptop should jail Quid pro Joe.
