Watergate II?. National Review calls Clinton’s State Department “Racketeering”.

US Election. Logo. 2016.Ten days to go, thousands of emails to read. The FBI say they “don’t know what they have”.

We do know that they have a monster-load of emails of Hillary’s right hand woman, vice chair of Clinton’s 2016 campaign and the FBI think they can’t afford not to let the world know. For those who don’t know who Huma Abedin is: Vanity Fair pretty much describes her as the “key glue” for Hillary, around her all the time, the inner-inner circle:

… along with Chelsea, Abedin is “the third rail” of the Clinton political world.

Bob Barnett, the lawyer who brokered the Clintons’ multi-million-dollar book deals, says Huma is “now one of the key glues that holds Clintonworld together…. She knows everyone and everyone knows her.

For those wondering why the FBI would make this “blockbuster” announcement now, read the National Review to get an idea of the potential (Noting that the FBI have released almost no details on what they have found):

Clinton’s State Department: A RICO Enterprise

Mrs. Clinton appears to have converted the office of secretary of state into a racketeering enterprise.

Andrew C. McCarthy

She appears to have used her official powers to do favors for major Clinton Foundation donors. Felony mishandling of classified information, including our nation’s most closely guarded intelligence secrets; the misappropriation and destruction of tens of thousands of government records — these are serious criminal offenses. To this point, the Justice Department and FBI have found creative ways not to charge Hillary Clinton for them. Whether this will remain the case has yet to be seen. As we go to press, the stunning news has broken that the FBI’s investigation is being reopened.

Mrs. Clinton appears to have converted the office of secretary of state into a racketeering enterprise.

Hillary Clinton, US Election, Flag. 2016.Hillary and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, operated the Clinton Foundation. Ostensibly a charity, the foundation was a de facto fraud scheme to monetize Hillary’s power as secretary of state (among other aspects of the Clintons’ political influence). The scheme involved (a) the exchange of political favors, access, and influence for millions of dollars in donations; (b) the circumvention of campaign-finance laws that prohibit political donations by foreign sources; (c) a vehicle for Mrs. Clinton to shield her State Department e-mail communications from public and congressional scrutiny while she and her husband exploited the fundraising potential of her position; and (d) a means for Clinton insiders to receive private-sector compensation and explore lucrative employment opportunities while drawing taxpayer-funded government salaries.

The piquant irony is that for all the Russian hacking these emails were tripped over by the FBI during an investigation of Anthony Weiner, the former congressman who accidentally tweeted a selfie-of-the-worst-kind to 45,000 people. He, it turns out, is married to Hillary’s right hand woman — Huma Abedin, who has been working for Hillary for most of the last 20 years. Ouch.

I suspect that the FBI and others are now becoming nervous and realising that there’s a real chance that Trump will become President and, if that’s the case, he’s going to come down very hard on the FBI for not doing their job. They may now be doing some rear guard action to protect themselves.

I agree Trump has a real shot at this, that doesn’t stop the Clinton paid pressitutes going into hyperdrive deflection mode even witnessed on Australian TV this morning with 9, 7, ABC, SBS all interviewing USA political ‘experts’ that have all but written off Trump because of Hillary’s political stability?

Never mind the evidence of the FBI being strong armed into forgoing legal procedure over genuine charges against H Clinton lets focus on 10 year old behaviour at business events and twist them into any SJW crime that we can invent, these people are mad and too stupid to live.

The lefties here in Australia are terrified of the prospect of the electorate turning on what’s left of the Coalition and the union run ALP.
Watch the media turn up the heat on Pauline Hanson now. When The Donald takes the Whitehouse the weeping ,wailing & gnashing of teeth will take on a whole new perspective.
Don’t know if I’ll be able to watch TV news let alone the ABC.
It’ll also be interesting to hear Sky New’s Paul Murray perspective. He’s going soft & left!

I don’t think so, the base has partly defected, unless Turncoat goes, at the next election more of the base will defect, but now they know where to park their vote. The Libs are not getting the finance they did with Abbott. There is no doubt that at the next election, if turncoat stays, One Nation will take house seats and increase their senate representation. Pauline is already well and truly blooded on the scorched earth tactics which unseated her last time, she is not going to make that mistake again.

A fair portion of the votes that elected liberals in the last election were ONP preferences, ONP are key in the Senate, they can’t afford to ignore ONP. Politics dictate one side has to play nice with ONP, attempts to do the scorched earth thing next time won’t work, ONP has higher FIRST preference polling than the greens and they have qualified for a truckload of public electoral finance.

Pauline stood in the QLD state election, the election was Sooooo close they needed a countback to decide the winner. She is a real person, flawed like all of us, but real. People like that – Trump has the same appeal, he is not of the political class he speaks it as he sees it, and he learns quick, real quick, and he is an American Patriot, a beliver in traditional values. On balance dragging the USA back to it’s roots will be good for Australia, more ruinous globalism like we’ve had for the past decade (omitting the brief Abbott interlude) will be disastrous. We might even see the CAGW mess off into the history books.

I agree that Pauline Hanson comes across as a fully formed person, quite rare actually! One that can be quite charming, when that is appropriate for her. One that can be take you out, or have others take you out, when that is appropriate for her.
This is exactly the inherent traits that make earthlings the top predator on this Earth! Find many such! Fear not turning your back on them, with the intent of leading them, with even higher personal integrity!
            All the best! -will-

The advance of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party was stopped in its tracks by Kerry Packer, when, just one week before the election in which One Nation was expected to become established as a mainstream political force, The Women’s Day came out with a story about a “problem son” that we hadn’t previously heard of.

That would have halved her vote in regional areas where support was strongest. The party didn’t recover. It was Pauline Hanson’s personal tenacity which rebuilt the party we see today.

Don’t know if I’ll be able to watch TV news let alone the ABC.

I haven’t really watched any mainstream “news” (if that’s what they call that incessant, contrived blabber) for many years.

It takes a separation from this (just like any failing relationship I suppose) to see the agenda-pushing and manipulation more clearly. It just further sickens me.

The MSM, in all their corrupt manipulation, have focussed primarily on Trump as a rapist and general fool. This should have ignited some thoughts in the general public:

          1. Why do they need to push Trump as being the bad guy at every turn? All I hear about is Trump. What’s Hitlery doing?

          2. Why dare they not speak of Hitlery’s criminal activities – Russia’s “hacking” if true could save us all?

I hope America’s courts aren’t too far gone (gee.. thanks Barry – Love Hillary) for Trump to use them in bringing all involved to justice, hopefully all the way to misprison of treason and treason itself.

The answer to your questions is in your own last sentence — “gee…thanks Barry”. All roads lead to the criminality of Obama (“the buck stops here”, remember that?), which in turn is due to his complete lack of honest character.

The U.S. turned to a false, cult leader (TWICE elected) and all those who participated in that WILL NOT admit it is a false cult, nothing more. They prefer to see yet another false leader enthroned, rather than have their own vaunted superiority cast down ignominiously.

I can’t watch any TV news now and it’s becoming increasingly difficult just to read the alternative news on the internet. Both are utterly biased towards anything representing Leftist beliefs and then there is the utter garbage and click bait that fills the gaps.

I’ve stayed in rickety old High Country huts are more structurally sound and with less holes in them than the MSM.

The thing that is really annoying me now, with the Australian newspaper, is that the headings put in by the sub-editors are often misleading, put a totally different slant to what the actual article is about and are acting as click-bait and nothing else. A perfect example this week was the article on the Trump/Jennifer Hawkins thing. The heading said that Trump had tried to “sexually assault” her, when actually he had just planted a kiss on her cheek, but the article claimed that he had tried to kiss her on the mouth, which she denies, in the same article. I am totally fed up with our MSM – thank goodness for Jo and others like her.

That’s one reason why I would never subscribe to any current Australian newspaper, even what were the best are now deteriorating to the point that they aren’t worth it as kitty litter.

The only internet news that I read in any detail is Breitbart. At least it makes no bones about who it sides with.

Yes well, just goes to show how desperate the political class (including the mainstream media) are becoming. They are scared Trump may actually win and they’re running out of stuff to throw. They don’t care about truth anymore, which is disappointing from a paper like the Australian, which usually attempts some semblance of balance. I too am awaiting the retraction of the Hawkins/Trump beat up, but won’t hold my breath.

I do watch a lot of news on many channels.
I currently find it intriguing that ISIS is reported to be using human shields in Mosul. So when women and children are killed in Mosul, it is due to ISIS.
However in Aleppo, the reports are that ISIS does not use human shields. The women and children are being killed by those nasty Russians and Syrians.
If that is blatant bias, what is?
Hasn’t Putin taught the Americans a thing or two about warfare in the Syrian crisis = which Obama fostered by arming al Qaida?

Yep . . it’s been my habit of watching ABC News for many years partly because the main bulletin is broadcast at 7.00PM and that timing suits me. A lot of this is a matter of convenience and I’m probably one of the remnants of folk who don’t like the TV on while I’m eating dinner. After that, I would typically stay tuned to follow on with The 7.30 Report . . just as the broadcaster intended. That’s fine and it also suited me.

Turning to matters of bias, the ABC has been accused just as many other news outlets have . . both left and right. I reckon most people recognise that the days of strictly objective journalism have passed. It’s unfortunate, but there it is. Probably most people would also acknowledge their own bias. I certainly have that.
But for me at least, the bias of the ABC has now gone way too far. People can complain all they like about Rupert Murdoch and I’ll say; feel free to have at it . . I don’t care. When it comes to a national broadcaster funded by my taxes, it’s entirely different.

            Here’s my point . . finally.
It seems to me that the ABC bias has accelerated to the left quite dramatically over the last few years. I’d put the timing down to around the time that Kerry O’Brien departed.

In general, the ABC news has become very thin on actual news items and quite often a couple of days later than commercial channels. I’ve counted days on end where they’ve managed to insert a climate change sound bite into the story, no matter how brief or tenuous . . think Great Barrier Reef . . . and at a time when other outlets are covering far more up to date and diverse events from around the globe.

The other trend I see is that the reporting has drifted from reporting news (biased or otherwise) into framing the reports in terms of human interest. I’m reminded of the current news about the Dreamworld incident. No one says the incident wasn’t newsworthy but three days later spending an overly large proportion of time while running it as the lead story? . . come on. I’m referring to last night, here.

And the follow up during The 7.30 Report is now just a longer version of the preceding ABC news.
The 7.30 Report is supposed to be a more in-depth and investigative platform, but it no longer is . . just a more lengthy human interest version. The main problem with the whole “human interest” overlay is that it’s inevitably subjective and reflects whatever bias the outlet currently holds. I wonder what Kerry O’Brien would say.

If you were to travel various forums and society in general, you would be truly amazed at how many people believe that ‘Their ABC’ is totally balanced in their reporting and general news coverage. I have even seen comments where someone believed that The Age is actually right-leaning (it appeared to be completely serious).

                Dreamworld update:

True to ABC form and almost a week on, I expect everyone is on the edge of their seat waiting for this . . .

The bodies of the victims have been released to their families. Yep, that’s it folks . . that’s the news.
To support this, we are taken to a live cross to Ashley Stevenson at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast. I mean . . a live cross? . . OK then.

Our Ashleigh goes on to explain the situation and notes that the theme park remains closed to the public indefinitely.

I remember when Red Kerry was hosting the ABC coverage of the Federal Election when Tasmania was a key swing state (2001? 2004?). Labor had to capture a couple of marginals there.

Sometime in the broadcast, Red Kerry came back on the air and intoned mournfully: “I have dreadful news from Tasmania…”

Turned out the swing was against Labor in Tassie, and Howard strolled back in.

Dimbleby did the same when he was anchoring the BBC’s EU referendum show: “I can’t understand how we lost,” he said on air, as all the projections showed that Brexit was home and hosed.

They can’t hide the bias, hard as they try sometimes.

The greatest impact will be the judiciary.

Even with the packing of the lower courts with Democrat left jurists, the important court is the Supreme Court Of the United States (SCOTUS). If Hillary wins she’ll appoint the one open SCOTUS Justice swinging the court hard left and likely two more, given the ages which would give the hard left a 5 vote majority for up to three decades.

They may now be doing some rear guard action to protect themselves.

      My thoughts exactly.

The FBI has obviously decided which side it is on and they have exonerated Hillary of everything, as far as I can tell. So why would they produce this, now, just before the election?

There may well not be enough time to examine all the emails by election date but the FBI have given themselves a get out clause. They can say: “I told you so.” Even though they have not actually said anything. Smart thinking.

I had to conclude that the FBI are now slightly worried about a Trump victory and are hedging their bets.

… why would they produce this, now, just before the election?

Because the FBI is not the only player in the game …

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? – Who will guard the guards themselves?

There are other Government Agencies with some interest – The State Department, for example, because they would probably not want to be associated with any “mistakes” made by the Secretary.

Also, there is a large number of private “research and analysis” (i.e. mercenary intelligence) companies who do not want to see their reputations damaged, in the eyes of their corporate clients.

A lot of people have a lot to loose, because of the “cute tricks”, employed by Obama and Clinton.

I also suspect the same, bemused. The FBI and other agencies already know the true sentiment of the American voter and have no choice but to act properly in this matter, after all the Right to Bear Arms is for the people to defend against a corrupt government and the continuance of a ‘social experiment’ that commenced with the election of Obama and continued with the election of Hillary Clinton would eventually spark some concerns. Again – Trump in a landslide.

I’m bemused too! Yes this is straight out of the regressives playbook, paint your opponent as a misogynist bastard and yourself as white as the driven snow.

One issue here is the way mud seems to stick to conservatives/libertarians far better that the regressives. Maybe that’s because of the oily coat of primoridial slime that seems to coat many of the regressive politicians.

It also seems that voters in the regressive camp care less about the candidate integrity than the right, it’s all about the side you’re on. I watched some exit polling on infowars, and truly, the clinton voters were all about I don’t care what Clinton’s
done I’ve got to stop Trump from winning. Couldn’t they do what we did here, vote independent conservative/libertarian, not withstanding that the so-called libertarian candidate is a full on global warming religion observer.

Apparently if noone gets to 270 electoral votes Congress chooses the president, wouldn’t that none-of-the-above outcome be the best result for those people, a real protest vote.

        For the foreigners….

Here our conservative party ousted their popular (with conservatives) leader Abbott elected on a landslide, his lefty replacement barely held the following election as the party base abandoned them not for the laeft Labor party but for conservative independents primarily as it turns out the One Nation party. The conservative coalition have decimated their own base with the lurch to the left, and One Nation is now on the rise, eerilly similar to UKIP experience in the UK.

Americans could take back their republic by finding candidates that match their own beliefs, Democrat or Republican choose whomever meets your personal ideals. If the major party candidates are all bad then there are no sides, there are just candidates.

This is most likely why the FBI were forced to reopen this investigation. The talk is now not of “over a thousand emails” but “tens of thousands”. If these emails are bcc copies of the 33,000 emails from Hillary’s illegal server, which she erased while under subpoena, then the FBI would have had no choice but to make this announcement without even having reviewed their content.

It is not the content of the emails that is the bombshell, it is their existence.

They pretty much had to reopen the case. Right off the bat the evidence shows that Huma perjured herself. She swore under oath the she had handed all of the personal devices over to the FBI that she still had that could possibly have those emails on them. Where this leads for Clinton? We’ll just have to wait and see.

The problem is that a consistent picture of corruption has emerged and even the Democrats admit Hillary has lied (and lied and lied…) during the investigations to date. And the FBI was apparently willing to put up with that.
If you only depended on Australian media for information you wouldn’t even know that, and although it’s a little better in the US, it’s not much better.
The Clintons are a major crime family in the US, currently protected by the Democrat political establishment. It’s a swamp that matches the global warming swamp for lies, corruption, concealment and manufacture of evidence and rampant anti-social self-interest and there’s nothing an honest majority can do about it because it’s all politics anyway.

Yes it does appear odd that the mainstream media still claim Clinton will win despite the avalanche of material now available that questions her actions. What does it take for the mainstream media to change their stance? A signed confession?

      • #
        bobl

I suspect that even a signed confession would be spun as “See Clinton is so honest as the driven snow, she has admitted and apologised – vote for Hillary”

Hillary should step down. She is toast, whether it be indictment before or impeachment after the election. She is already a lame duck. Kaine would be much better for the USA.

At a minimum she is probably guilty of the same crime as her husband was convicted, lying to the US Congress and dodging FOIA. Her perjury was laid out by Comey. If media reports are to go by this charge has already been refered by the house to the DOJ. The DOJ should act to arrest her, should… if they don’t it says a lot about our biggest ally’s legal system.

So much damage has been done, this needs to go to trial if only to restore the credibiliy of the USA.

Her constant companion Huma Abedin is the real story. It may explain both Bill Clinton’s social behavior and Mr Weiners. Frustrated apparently. As for Weiner’s name! Accidentally sent 43,000 pictures of Weiner’s weiner? Media gold.

As for Hilary’s glib explanation that they needed the money because they were broke when they left the Whitehouse after eight years, that might have been due more to the Whitewater investigation and sundry law suits against them personally than lack of income. Poor people do not make it to the White House. Besides, they had no mortgage, free accommodation, servants, the best seats and transport. It’s not as if they had any real costs for eight years. It is the first time any President or his wife has complained about the salary and conditions.

You would also think Hilary’s awful performance as Secretary of State, even her access to the job was itself a reason she should not be standing for President. There was a time when Secretary of State, the highest diplomatic position in the country was held by Henry Kissinger or Madelaine Albright, Colin Powell, Condolezza Rice extremely competent and world aware diplomatic people, not just friends of the Clintons and Obama. John Kerry is even more of a problem than Hilary, which would have seemed impossible.

Apart from her incredibly close connections to known extremists and extremist organizations, born in America Huma spent her early life in Saudi Arabia and only to return to the US at 16. However by 18 she was and remains for twenty years Hilary’s closest assistant and constant companion. Really? What was her particular skill which made her so valuable? Speaking Arabic?

At least Monica Lewinsky was 21. How qualified can you be at 18 to become be head of staff for the wife of the President of 8 years, then Senator, then Secretary of State, leader of the Democrats and now possibly President? How screened can she be for the unmentioned religion and business of her activist and prominent father, mother and brother and their sources of funding? Why did the Saudis donate tens of millions to the Clinton Foundation? How sure can Americans be that State secrets did not leak? If Wikipedia can get them, many others can. Were the FBI intimidated my former President Bill Clinton into not acting and now face the real possibility of indicting the new President? What a choice!

When you consider so much of Hilary’s time as Secretary of State was with the ‘Arab’ spring and revolutions and massive problems from Tunisia to Afghanistan, you would have to think Huma had a great influence. Was that advisable or even proper?

Of course the Russians did it all.

Sadly I think the Clintons are all about money and power.

Yes, of course communism is not dead, certainly not when China is the model for the UN, as the head of the IPCC says.

Take Greenpeace. Even Green Australian senators like Lee Rhannon, trained in Moscow at the Lomonosov. She no longer denies it. The only Green in the Lower House, Adam Bandt is a professional communist but for many communism is just a means to an end. Power for incompetents.

            L. Ron Hubbard tried communism before Scientology. The “Rev” Jim Jones as well before he also found religion and that ended badly after the assassination of a senator in the jungle.

However the Clintons have no interest in communism but a great interest in money and with money comes power. You can pay everyone off and buy riots against your opposition in true Lenin style, as has been admitted. However the involvement of the Russians and more than the Chinese or the UK or the French or Germans or the world of very Left politicians is overblown. It is all about the Clintons and not at all about the people of America. It is all about 69 year old Hilary and what she wants. It always was. Only now at the 11th hour is the truth coming out because now it seems, anything goes.

Whatever the impact of the FBI announcement, it was clearly a warning to the American people that something is really wrong. This decision was not politically motivated. If it was, the smarter move would have been to say nothing but the probability is that he will be sacked immediately anyway.

Bill Clinton was made president on January 20th 1993. Only July 19th 1993 he sacked FBI director William S. Sessions, a Bush appointee.

Now James Comey, an Obama appointee is facing immediately dismissal if Hilary gets in and buries him with the scandal. Conversely if he covered it up and Trump succeeded, he was facing an angry
Trump and criminal prosecution himself. Not a great choice. Now Trump might succeed and he keeps his job and avoids criminality. The other two are certain career and personal disaster.

I cannot believe that Huma Abedin managed to get the job she has got, without going through a thorough security vetting process, for the high levels of clearance she would need.

I cannot understand how she has held her position for so long, without undergoing repeated security clearances, at that same, or higher, level.

Something is very fishy in this story. Either she has been repeatedly cleared for security access, at the same level as her boss. Or her implied connections with the Muslim Brotherhood are not real, and the YouTube item is a fabricated fiction.

The most interest here is in the very obvious tension between Comey (FBI Chief), Lynch (Attorney General, and Comey’s nominative boss) and politically uninvolved FBI investigators (who are obviously irritated beyond repair at being constantly shunted aside).

With just over 1 week to go, this tension appears to be white hot. One could reasonably expect WikiLeaks may dump these Weiner emails into the public pot. The source of such a leak could be informed by this tension. Cassandra suspects it is even possible that sordid gun-related felonies may occur.

As New Grigrich opined, this is far more serious than Watergate, a simple breakin while condoned from the White House did not involve National Security or a quite separate issue of private cash for access, illegal in any government. In fact if the riots and violence at Trump rallys were actually organized by Hilary’s team, Watergate was trivial. In Australia, Julia Gillard’s team admitted to organizing an aboriginal riot on Australia Day which threatened the life of the leader of the opposition. This in concert with the ABC. 29 Oct: ZeroHedge: Tyler Durden: ABC/Wapo Effectively Admit To Poll Tampering As Hillary’s “Lead” Shrinks To 2-Points
Ironically, these new results do not reflect the latest FBI bombshell as polling was concluded on October 27th and it still includes an 8-point sampling advantage for democrats…
For months we have argued that these goal-seeking reports (aka “Polls”) can be easily manufactured to show whatever results are desired by simply “tweaking” the sample pool. WikiLeaks even exposed a handy guide 37-page poll-rigging guide on how to “include ethnic ‘oversamples’ as required” to manufacture the desired poll numbers. But, with today’s latest ABC / Washington Post poll, the real “smoking gun” admission is revealed as the pollsters admit that the narrowing of their polling results are “not mainly about people shifting in their candidate preference” but about how their sample pool was constructed…
what were their motivations for skewing their polling data?…
(my pick) ABC / Wapo reviewed early voting stats starting to come in around the country and realized that their polls were in no way reflective of reality and decided they’d rather not lose ALL credibility (though it may be a bit too late for that)…READ ALL
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-29/abc-wapo-effectively-admit-they-tampered-their-polls-hillary-lead-shrinks-2-points

when I heard the FBI story yesterday morning, I immediately wondered if it was because of early voting trends (even tho, strictly speaking, the Dem crossover vote won’t be known til Nov 8).
this story would give pollsters the opportunity to bring their polling more in line with realistic sampling to save face.
the ABC/WaPo poll is a step in the right direction, but they still have a long way to go, unless they feel confident election fraud is still do-able, despite the close scrutiny of Trump voters.

The story is that the huge number of potentially incriminating emails were found on Weiner‘s computer, not Huma’s or Hilary’s.

If even a single email is a State Secret meant only for the eyes of the Secretary of State or evidence of money for influence or money laundering, that would be enough to be a criminal offence, enough to jail a lot of people. Potentially they have tens of thousands of smoking guns, Watergates. Then if Weiner has such emails, the world could have them and that would mean criminal charges for Weiner, Huma and Hilary. Even if Hilary did not know which were State secrets because she didn’t understand the coding (you have to be kidding), the existence of random secure communications in the public domain is a disaster. A single email could be an international disaster.

How can the FBI let Hilary go to the election without saying a thing? They are facing the possible and even likely and immediate indictment of a new President while they did nothing, said nothing? So they will say nothing more. If she is elected, nothing will proceed. If she is not, they will proceed. This is reminiscent of our own PM Julia Gillard and the money laundering scandal at Slater and Gordon of AWU money with her boyfriend Wilson. The one for which she was fired and never worked as a lawyer again.

For Australians, the question is why we gave $450 million to the Clinton Foundation and why they gave Julia Gillard a job. As Gringrich said, this is far bigger than Watergate, a minor breakin which failed. Trump has already joked that he will consider a pardon for Hilary. He was not joking.

Like Watergate, it was not that the break in was successful or that it was significant or understandable or about money or laughable. It was criminal. It was organized from the Oval office.

That was enough for Haldermann and others to go to jail and Nixon to resign. Haldermann was White House Chief of Staff, in the position to be held by Humar. Oops does not cut it with criminal offences.

Consider that this makes mockery of all the secret highly encrypted and unbreakable communications available for the US Secretary of state if her friends’ estranged husband had plain English state secrets on his laptop along with pictures of his Weiner. The most dangerous Communications channel in the world and they were going to a plain English email server in Hilary’s garage? Hilary said she did not understand which were top secret and which were not because she did not understand the notation? This is a very senior lawyer talking?

It is so far beyond belief that it makes stories of Enigma and Bletchley Park ridiculous. Why encrypt anything?

          Beyond belief.

However the FBI story is about emails found on Weiner’s computer. Not Huma’s. What were they doing there? We are talking treason. State Secret’s on the PC of an estranged husband of an assistant to the Secretary of State?

It is not that there is a lack of evidence. There is a mountain of it!

I don’t think it is Weiner’s laptop. They say that so Huma A. has a way to get around saying “I’ve given all the devices I’ve had”. Who keeps 650,000 emails ?

If they have done nothing wrong, who uses an ‘expensive’ hard disc cleaning software package good enough to defeat the FBI/CIA if they have nothing to hide?

What I am reading is that there was a real attempt to hide the email trail which led back to the Whitehouse with even Obama using a false email address. When this proved impossible and with expert advice, they proceeded to wipe all the data before the FBI could inspect it. As Gringrich said, this is itself a crime, destroying state secrets and evidence. You can forget Nixon’s secretary who ‘accidentally’ and precisely deleted the critical 20 minutes from the tape recorders he had hidden. This is Clinton’s IT expert wiping millions of email trails under instruction and legal advice.

Also I read the statement carefully. This may not even be a computer device, but it is certainly not Huma’s computer or if it is, as you imply, it is explosive. It adds intent and deception to the crime of stealing state secrets. Given her background and family connections, that would be an incredible breach of security.

Or it could have been Huma’s old computer, given to her husband with all the files deleted, except that they were not properly wiped. A simple inspection by the FBI would revel all the ‘deleted’ file and emails! Now that is starting to make sense. That is how Hilary’s, Huma’s and now Weiner’s computer could be filled with state secrets.

“To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”(Newton’s 3rd law).

The “Hillary Racketeering Fiasco” is being reflected in the latest Washington Post/ABC News Tracking Poll.

47/45 to Hillary with her near double digit lead smashed.

Trump can still win this election and even if he just loses the Republicans will still almost certainly have the numbers in Congress [House of Reps & Senate].

The worst case scenario now its seems is another “4 years of lame duck Democrat Presidential Rule”.

Given the precedent of Obamanese “executive orders” and limp-wrist RINO opposition, President Hillary can do a huge amount of damage, including appointing spittle-spewing leftists to the Supreme Court, importing a half-million ISIS jihadists, and implementing a climate treaty that would eliminate US autonomy. The US may not survive her tenure. Her “oath of office” would be meaningless.

I have a whole raft of conspiracy theories on this one which I won’t bore you with but the one that occured to me, about 30 seconds after I read the announcement, was that Comey has not had an epiphany but rather is still a disgrace to his office. This investigation will take a week, based on some new legal fiction no prosecution will be forthcoming and the final few days before the poll will be wall to wall Hillary cleared, Trump in disgrace coverage with every other issue buried.

    60

    • #
      gnome

I don’t think so. Assume ill-will towards Trump on Comey’s part – If he thinks Clinton is going to win he wouldn’t bother and if he had any doubts he wouldn’t take the risk.

One interesting aside to all this, is the likelihood of prison terms for Hillary, Comey, Abedin and Mills, but Lorreta Lynch has covered herself well, as has Bill Clinton. Their tarmac talk is very unlikely to be documented and they are both lawyers, well used to lying their heads off. Also, Obama will be an investigation target but so far probably hasn’t “misspoken” under oath. If the investigation does get Obama, expect pardons all round from Trump.

It is a theory, one of many and without a lot of data support, pretty much in the climate science mould really, but the idea was that it is a considered ploy in support of herself with the side benefit of a bit of cya if sanity prevails in the electorate.

Later information referring to hundreds of thousands of emails pretty much invalidates the conjecture of a quick whitewash so maybe we can look forward to a proper investigation. There are too many others in (official) posession of the information now for this to be buried internally. Add to that the internal unrest within the FBI and there is a lot of pressure on to do a professional job.
Just now it looks like Abedin is being set up to take the major fall which will allow Hillary to skate as the “poor little old lady mislead by those terrible staffers”. With, of course, supporting roles for the Russians, the Republicans and the arch devil Donald.
Leaving aside the probity or justice of the issue, this is the Democrats remember, when does a Presidential pardon come into play? Does she have to be subject to a specific conviction or is there a home free card along the lines of “things she may have done in relation to ….”?

        10

        • #

“when does a Presidential pardon come into play?”

Not until after the election and she looses. If she were to win, Obama could pardon her, but that would make too many people very angry and there would be lawsuit after lawsuit as government grinds to a halt.

The evidence of wrong doing is strong enough that if she weren’t running for President, Obama would have already pardoned her and her staff.

I have some thoughts too. I have to believe that many hundreds of recently retired FBI agents have been absolutely relentless in their communications with those agents (co-workers) that are still active. If we assume that the Agency is not rotten to the core, then the good ones are busy behind the scenes working to make this right. Comey may have yielded to Clinton pressure but you can bet he is feeling heat from inside.

Red hot heat like that in Hades.

That is very astute, Mark. I wish I had made that connection.

Comey, whether he has yielded to political pressure or not, will not be able to prevent his Agents from pursuing various leads, in their “own time” and “spare moments”.

I now feel slightly more optimistic …

ABC not interested in the homeless woman attacked by anti-Trumpsters, but they have better things on their minds:

30 Oct: Australian: Joe Kelly: Brendan O’Connor defends ABC enterprise agreement
Labor’s workplace relations spokesman Brendan O’Connor has defended a generous enterprise agreement at the ABC providing for domestic violence leave and backpay despite the deal being criticised for potentially breaching commonwealth bargaining guidelines.
Mr O’Connor today said the agreement “didn’t seem that exceptional” and argued the government had taken an ideological approach to its negotiations for collective agreements with the public sector workforce.
He suggested the government’s public sector bargaining guidelines were too punitive and amounted to a “straightjacket” on the negotiation process.
Australian Public Service Commissioner John Lloyd has already expressed alarm about the ABC deal with both Communications Minister Mitch Fifield and Employment Minister Michaelia Cash writing to the public broadcaster to demand an explanation.
The ABC agreement covers almost 5000 staff and includes a one-off $500 payment in addition to annual 2 per cent pay rises, back pay, seven days domestic violence leave and an increase in maternity and spousal leave…

Being skeptical of most political motives, in the case of the renewed FBI “investigation” of Clinton’s email fiasco, I tend to agree
with Rush Limbaugh – paraphrasing – in a couple of days or so, the FBI will say “oh it was a big mistake, nothing to see there, sorry, won’t do it again…”, Hillary and gang of thieves will be happy again, and meanwhile, everyone else will be distracted from the Wikileaks revelations paving the way for Hillary to slither by and win the election.

30 Oct: UK Telegraph: Christopher Booker: We’re following Germany down the primrose path of green energy madness
Hollow laughter greeted the warning from Ed Davey that Britain is “sleepwalking” towards electricity blackouts. In his years in charge of our energy and climate-change policy, no one did more to ensure that we are heading for blackouts than the global warming-obsessed Davey himself. But all he was alarmed about, it seems, was a threat to the astronomic subsidies we pay for all those diesel generators he wanted hooked up to the grid, to provide instant back-up to keep our lights on when his beloved windmills stop turning for lack of wind…
We may have smiled to read of last month’s vote by the upper house of the German parliament that by 2030 internal combustion engines in Germany should be banned, with all road vehicles powered by electricity. But by the same year, under the “Fifth Carbon Budget” nodded through by our own Parliament in July, we too are committed to 60 per cent of our vehicles being electric…READ ALL

If Trump wins, there’s no chance Clinton will be prosecuted as Obama will surely pardon her on his way out. If Clinton wins, I don’t think Obama is stupid enough to pardon her as that would foment revolution, although scorched Earth policies are the bread and butter of progressives. The result would most likely be another Watergate where Congress authorizes a special prosecutor to investigate and Clinton would be impeached, but like her husband, will not step down as government grinds to a halt. Perhaps, Comey sees this coming and is talking steps to preempt this disastrous consequence.

Interesting. Having now read up on that yup, take your point. American law is strange in that some sort of “speculative” pardon is possible. 🙁

Still, the likely hood of Obama repeating what is now seen as a huge mistake by Ford is minute. Accepting such a pardon is basically an admission of guilt, and would fuel the post election loss tanties by Trump hugely. They are going to be bad enough anyway. 🙂

We know what we would be getting in Hillary. A 100% corrupt individual that is a corner stone of a corrupt establishment that includes many in the Republican party.

We don’t know yet for certain what we would get in Trump. Don’t know how close his actions will match his rhetoric.

When all else fails a good guide in American politics is to see who and what the corporate press is supporting. If the corporate press is for it then you can hardly go wrong being against it.

via Hector Morenco: Soon the world will discover HRC & Obama are at the center of the Syrian conflict, profited from the Clinton foundation, & ignored ISIS. (Qatar-Turkey Pipeline)

” Soon the world will discover HRC & Obama are at the center of the Syrian conflict, profited from the Clinton foundation, & ignored ISIS.

Quatar & Saudis donated to the Clinton foundation while HRC was Sec. State. In exchange for the donations, the CIA was sent to Syria (2011).

CIA was behind a staged Arab spring uprising to attempt to topple Assad, because he was blocking the Quatar/Turkey pipeline plan.

ISIS formed by accident, and spiraled out of control but also provided cover for the Obama/HRC agenda of laudering bribes for the pipeline.

Emails on HRC’s private server confirm these tragic events, and Obama & HRC thought they could pardon each other after the election.

Little did Obama/HRC realize that an auto-sync feature between Huma & Weiner inadvertently saved the deleted emails on Weiner’s machine.

Trump in many ways is a sideshow to the brazen criminality & size & scope of the Obama admin & Clinton’s corruption enterprise.

Russia also cut a deal with Assad to allow an alternative Iran pipeline to go through Syria in exchange for favorable OPEC votes & cash.

The cash payments from Iran were actually wealth transfers from Obama>>Iran>>Russia. Obama got pissed that the Iranian money went to Russia.

The Democrats were so irritated for being played by the Iranians and Russians that they now want to reignite the cold war against Russia.

These bombshells will be confirmed by Wikileaks/Dikileaks soon, but maybe not before the election. The volume of hacked material is massive.

If HRC wins then Obama & the Clinton’s will pull off the largest heist in the history of the world. That’s how important this election is.

This high level heist leaving millions dead is also why HRC wants to assasinate Assange & why Obama sent Kerry to Ecuador. Now its too late.

The larger story is how many insiders fighting for insiders there are. All of the MSM is getting a piece of the action from Obama/HRC.

Please promote this message. I’m working to release source but running out of time. Already spent 300+ hours & won’t finish before election.”

    Hillary Clinton … YOU’VE BEEN WEINERED !!!

FBI agreed to destroy laptops of Clinton aides with immunity deal, lawmaker says

Sources said the arrangement with former Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson also limited the search to no later than Jan. 31, 2015. This meant investigators could not review documents for the period after the email server became public — in turn preventing the bureau from discovering if there was any evidence of obstruction of justice, sources said.

So, James Comey agreed to destroy two laptops (!) of top Clinton aides, for an immunity deal, destroying any evidence of obstruction of justice after the fact.

Almost two years on, and Clinton’s groom-of-the-stool Huma Abedin, Weiner’s wife (now separated), who would have been involved in chatter regarding such obstruction of justice (as the WikiLeaks emails elucidate), might have such emails/documents on Weiner’s laptop, confiscated because of a scandal involving pictures of/and inappropriate behavior towards a fifteen year old girl.

[We like to see something supporting allegations such as you make in this comment. ] AZ

You just can’t make this stuff up. Why was treason, racketeering, and obstruction of justice deemed unimportant enough to offer an immunity deal involving the willful destruction of two laptops, whereas now an investigation into Weiner’s sexcapades laptop is not only deemed important enough to keep open Weiner’s case, but to reopen the Clinton email scandal case? All smoking gun evidence is destroyed, WikiLeaks is disregarded because they are ‘stolen’ emails, but the Weiner comes back to haunt the wicked witch of the west! … only in America magical land of Oz.

Methinks something major has changed within FBI internal politics, and perhaps it is James Comey who is now cutting the immunity deal for himself … but … geez, them two incriminating laptops would have been quite handy to investigators if they hadn’t willfully destroyed evidence in order to protect a woman who the agency hierarchy (at least 18+ months ago) preferred as their next President, for quid pro quo favors, as they say; not to mention Democrat = BIGGER Government Agency Budgets.

AZ – I’m not too sure which allegation you are referring to.

The link to the Fox article is in the block quote, and Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson’s laptops were destroyed as part of their immunity deals.

      The laptop destruction and immunity deal came out in an official statement from the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee to the USAG’s office, and this is now well known even in the MSM cycle for about three weeks;
      LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuZlgX1AawQ

As for Anthony Weiner’s conduct towards the 15 year old … he is STILL under investigation by the FBI, and he is apparently cooperating along with Abedin. Both are conspicuously absent from public scrutiny, and Clinton probably doesn’t even know where they are, because they probably don’t want to end up bobbing around like corks in the Potomac (not an allegation, but an informed opinion).

Weiner’s personal investigation would not be open anymore if the photos and conduct towards the fifteen year old wasn’t already confirmed in the public domain, and apparently it is well known that he is a ‘disgraced congressman’; he resigned over this same scandal in June 2011. FBI cases that do not contain incriminating evidence, do not stay open for over 5 years, even when involving Congressmen (ie, the Denis Hastert, Speaker of the House, case for inappropriate conduct towards minors; charged in May 2015, in jail by April 2016). Is it suspicious that the FBI have kept Weiners’ case open over 5 years? (leverage against something? FBI insurance policy? … in my opinion)

It is well known now since Comey informed the House Committee, and in the US Press which can’t avoid the issue any longer, that 4 personal devices from the Weiner-Abedin home have already been entered into evidence, and that one of these devices – a shared laptop – is the specific device which has now triggered the reopening of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal; ie, it contains State Department emails, which Abedin had declared under oath were not or no longer in her possession. Thus, Abedin is facing charges regardless of what is in these emails.

So, I guess my allegations of “treason, racketeering, and obstruction of justice” are what you were referring to, in which case I can only say that the WikiLeaks emails, which I alluded to, would confirm said allegations if in fact Hillary Clinton was not clearly above the law:

      – TREASON: Selling the office of State Department to foreign and private donors/leaders for personal monetary donations to the Clinton Foundation – just one example, enough to qualify an allegation. The recent Teneo/Doug Band WikiLeaks state verbatim that the Clinton’s and their Foundation were being used for a pay-to-play scheme … ZeroHedge does a good job of highlighting this smoking gun evidence: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-30/doug-band-john-podesta-if-story-gets-out-we-are-screwed). Watch this space, the TENEO corporation and Doug Band leaks are the last straw which probably made Comey decide to reverse his policy of aiding to cover up Clinton’s situation, and to now enter damage control for the sake of his own, and the Agency’s, reputation.

      – RACKETEERING: As per treason section above, but also the Project Veritas video’s (UNDERCOVER VIDEOS: 1, 2, 3, and 4) which Jo has already covered, which clearly show that a constellation of paid advocacy groups and contractors were creating violence at Trump rallies in order to generate a Clinton election win, in order to present Hillary to the electorate as a solution to preventing future violence perpetrated by Trump followers if he were elected. Clinton made this point time and time again in the media (a media which WikiLeaks proved were coordinating with her), but it turns out that she was actually coordinating and approving the violent agitation personally, as per the Veritas videos.

Wikipedia: “A racket is a service that is fraudulently offered to solve a problem, such as for a problem that does not actually exist, that will not be put into effect, or that would not otherwise exist if the racket did not exist. Conducting a racket is racketeering. Particularly, the potential problem may be caused by the same party that offers to solve it, although that fact may be concealed, with the specific intent to engender continual patronage for this party.”

Even Rudi Giuliani has stated recently that the Project Veritas video’s – specifically the violence – are a textbook example of racketeering in order to turn the office of President elect into a solution for a problem which she had created fraudulently and attached to her opponent.

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE: Clinton admitted that she ordered half of the 33,000 emails from her private server destroyed, AFTER she had been subpoenaed. She coordinated with her Clinton Foundation tech people (who repeatedly pleaded the fifth), and her top aides (Mills and Samuelson ? laptops destroyed). Comey stated in the Congressional Hearings that these deleted emails may have included classified documents, as the ~15,000 batch turned over surely did, however, this was ‘un-provable’ (anyone ask the NSA? FBI have any access to assistance from the NSA?) because she deleted evidence AFTER subpoena. Apparenlty, according to Comey, not grounds to press charges against Clinton, which shocked even Democratic pundits attending the hearings.

I guess ANY allegation, no matter how well qualified, can now be referred to as a perpetual allegation, if, indeed, the Justice Department and the FBI are unwilling to apply previous legal precedent to anyone – no matter who they are – holding high public office when the ruling party is the same as the party candidate under cloud of malfeasance. The way I see it, some people are above the law, obviously, and I stand by my allegations. Even the examples given above would have been enough to sink Richard Nixon ten times over, but I guess that was back when law and order wasn’t a complete laughing stock in the ‘land of the free’.

[EyesWideOpen, This is what does not have any support I could find in anything you made reference to, “…confiscated because of a scandal involving pictures of/and inappropriate behavior towards a fifteen year old girl.” Everything else is public knowledge. And given Weiner’s character no one would be surprised if the quote is also true. But it needs to be supported because it’s a very serious allegation, a kind of abuse that changes someone’s life forever, Weiner’s being under investigation notwithstanding. And he’s assumed innocent until proven guilty. I knew I could find any number of references to the sordid affair with a simple Google search but it isn’t the moderator’s job to go looking for supporting documentation. Nothing else you said was a problem and we left in the quoted part as well.

I originally decided to not approve this and leave it between you and me. But Jo commented about it to me by email and after thinking about her comments I’ve decided to approve it. FYI, you did a good job of making your case.] AZ

AZ – Ok, no problem, I get where you are coming from; but the problem with the Weiner allegations towards the 15yr old including photos and sexting, is that for 5 years this investigation has been kept open, which has clearly been because of Obama’s control over the AG’s office, or as an insurance policy on the behalf of the FBI against the Obama Justice Department.

The FBI ‘seem’ to have been frozen in this matter because of the AG, who can basically direct the FBI to freeze an investigation and delay prosecution, but nobody will ever know from what end the stalling is occurring, because releasing progress reports on open FBI investigations is only allowed/practiced through a Congressional process, which as far as I am aware has never been a priority for House Republicans because until now it was not directly linked to Clinton … so I would expect this position to now change because that shared laptop is now entered into evidence in the Weiner case; conflating the two investigations.

… I mean, 5 years when Denis Hastert took about 1 year? I believe on Wall Street, since 2008, this is now affectionately referred to as “Deferred Prosecution”; which for crimes involving Democratic politicians and operatives, means that even hard evidence can accumulate in perpetual allegation land as long as a Democrat sits in the White House, which I believe used to be referred to as “on the pleasure of His/Her Majesty”:
        http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3790824/Anthony-Weiner-carried-months-long-online-sexual-relationship-troubled-15-year-old-girl-telling-hard-asking-dress-school-girl-outfits-pressing-engage-rape-fantasies.html
… multiple newspapers have run with all the juicy details of this story, for years, and Weiner and Abedin have never filed suit against them, because they are quite happy having the case in AG-freeze-land rather than the known facts of the sexting being brought up in additional litigation, embarrassing the FBI and AG’s office for not having proceeded with the case for purely political reasons (until after the 2016 Hillary election, when the devices were confiscated in 2011!!!).

Could this be why Comey has just literally flashed Obama and Clinton ‘the bird’ 10 days out from the pre-coronation ceremony? It seems the FBI are rather p*ssed off, not just at having to carry water for the Clinton’s, but also having not been able to do their jobs in the case of Weiner (and God only knows how many other cases), because the White House has literally been obstructing justice. The act of reopening the email scandal by embedding it into the Weiner case might have been considered by some in the FBI as ‘just deserts’ towards a Democratic faction that even they can no longer stomach.

Whatever the reasons, it would seem that a major internal FBI feud is going on at the moment, and it is all over the news headlines this morning, and will be throughout the last week of the election … but the major take away will be, that the sins of the Obama Justice Department will get scrutinized now just as closely as the Weiner-Abedin’s, and Clinton’s.

Sorry, I made a small mistake, the 4 additional devices were confiscated apparently under an Oct 3rd 2016 warrant for the Weiner-Abedin apartment, and are additional to previous Weiner case evidence … apparently this was because Weiner continued to get involved in sexting scandals after his 2011 resignation. The allegations involving the 15yr old are for events that took place in 2013.

Strangely, Trump announced in August 2015, that Huma and Weiner would be the vector with which missing/deleted emails will bring down the Clinton’s; over 1 year before the warrant to confiscate the four devices. Is Donald Trump clairvoyant, or is there a faction in the FBI which have been organizing with Weiner/Abedin personally to cut a deal, and was Trump informed of this? Is this laptop perhaps a planned way of bringing to light the deleted portion of the Clinton emails in order to bury the Clinton’s due to their stench? It is all getting rather strange … sorry for the conspiracy theory, but no fiction writer could make this stuff up.

30 Oct: ABC: Gary Langer: Clinton and Trump Even Up; Turnout Looks to be Critical (POLL)
A slim point separates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in the latest ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll results, cementing Trump’s resurgence in the past week and marking the potentially critical role of turnout in the election’s outcome.
The race stands at 46-45 percent, Clinton-Trump, in the latest results…
The tightening of the contest the past week, while unusual, is not unheard of…
The latest results also show a continued gender gap, but different in nature -– from Clinton +19 points among women and +2 among men in early tracking to Clinton +8 points among women and Trump +9 among men now…
Bernie Sanders was especially popular among young adults, and they’ve been far less strongly enthusiastic Clinton supporters than their elder counterparts…
Trump has a 15-point advantage over Clinton among whites, while Clinton has 68 percent support in the latest results among nonwhites, vs. Obama’s 80 percent among nonwhites in the 2012 exit poll…
A notable difference is nonwhites who are not black or Hispanic. Obama won them by 66-31 percent; it’s a closer 45-40 percent, Clinton-Trump, in the tracking poll…
This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by landline and cellular telephone Oct. 25-28, 2016, in English and Spanish, among a random national sample of 1,160 likely voters…

30 Oct: BBC: Can Trump pull off a Brexit-style upset?
    By Brian Wheeler
Could America be in for a similar dawn surprise on the morning of 9 November?
    The polls say no…
Donald Trump has been trailing Hillary Clinton in most national opinion polls by between 3% and 10%.
That was before the FBI announced it was looking into new documents related to its investigation of Clinton’s emails. It remains to be seen how much of an impact that news will have on voters.
Trump and his supporters point out that the polls were wrong about Brexit, but it is a bit more complicated than that…
…But faith in pollsters’ methods has taken a knock…
The Brexit result was a new reputational hit for the polling industry…
The pollsters have yet to figure out a way to ***fix things.
In the UK and the US companies are finding it increasingly difficult to capture truly representative samples of voters…
One US polling company, IBD/TIPP, which samples an unusually high proportion of cell phone users and claims to be among the most accurate out there, was predicting a closer race than others before swinging towards Clinton…
Gallup, one of the biggest names in polling, has simply thrown in the towel, announcing it would not be predicting the winner of this year’s presidential election, after getting it wrong last time…
Sweep away all of the speculation about polling methodology and you are left with one inescapable fact about the Brexit vote.
Some 2.8 million people – about 6% of the electorate – who had not voted for decades, if ever, turned up at polling stations on 23 June – and almost all of them voted to leave the EU.
“It was more than enough to ensure we lost,” writes Remain campaign chief Sir Craig Oliver, in a new book…
If this pattern was repeated at the US election, Trump would arguably be looking good for the White House. Particularly if Democratic voters fail to turn out in the sort of numbers they did for Obama in 2012…

    the dam breaks…

30 Oct: Chicago Tribune: John Kass: Democrats should ask Clnton to step aside
Has America become so numb by the decades of lies and cynicism oozing from Clinton Inc. that it could elect Hillary Clinton as president, even after Friday’s FBI announcement that it had reopened an investigation of her emails while secretary of state?…
It’s obvious the American political system is breaking down. It’s been crumbling for some time now, and the establishment elite know it and they’re properly frightened. Donald Trump, the vulgarian at their gates, is a symptom, not a cause…

So what should the Democrats do now?…
If ruling Democrats hold themselves to the high moral standards they impose on the people they govern, they would follow a simple process:
They would demand that Mrs. Clinton step down, immediately, and let her vice presidential nominee, Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia, stand in her place.
Democrats should say, honestly, that with a new criminal investigation going on into events around her home-brew email server from the time she was secretary of state, having Clinton anywhere near the White House is just not a good idea.
Since Oct. 7, WikiLeaks has released 35,000 emails hacked from Clinton campaign boss John Podesta. Now WikiLeaks, no longer a neutral player but an active anti-Clinton agency, plans to release another 15,000 emails.
What if she is elected? Think of a nation suffering a bad economy and continuing chaos in the Middle East, and now also facing a criminal investigation of a president. Add to that congressional investigations and a public vision of Clinton as a Nixonian figure wandering the halls, wringing her hands.

The best thing would be for Democrats to ask her to step down now. It would be the most responsible thing to do, if the nation were more important to them than power.
***And the American news media — fairly or not firmly identified in the public mind as Mrs. Clinton’s political action committee — should begin demanding it…READ ALL

This is certainly not relevant for “Down Under” voters, but it is interesting; US readers should continue to distribute it as able:

It’s dangerous to be involved in any way with the Clintons!!

Those of us who lived thru the Clinton presidency well remember the sleaze and slime associated with Bill and Hillary——These two are classic examples of cronyism, elitism, insiders of the ELITE in DC—if you’re of the opinion that we need to drain the “ swamp “ in Washington —this is the place to start!
Clinton Mortuary List–Or why I think James Comey the director of the FBI would not recommend inditement of Hillary Clinton.
These people are pond scum who will do anything to cover up their corrupt illegal ways.

    THE “Bill & Hill” MORTUARY:

Just a quick refresher course lest we forget what has happened to many “friends” of Bill & Hill!!

1 – James McDougal – The Clintons convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr”S investigation.

2 – Mary Mahoney – A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.
3 – Vince Foster – Former White House councilor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock’s Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.

4 – Ron Brown – Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown”S skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the Air Traffic controller committed suicide.

5 – C. Victor Raiser, II – Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.

6 – Paul Tulley – Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock, September 1992. Described by Clinton as a “dear friend and trusted advisor”.

7 – Ed Willey – Clinton fundraiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton raped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8 – Jerry Parks – Head of Clinton’s gubernatorial security team in Little Rock. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock. Park’s son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9 – James Bunch – Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a “Black Book” of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas.

10 – James Wilson – Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater..

11 – Kathy Ferguson – Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.

12 – Bill Shelton – Arkansas State Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancee.

13 – Gandy Baugh – Attorney for Clinton’s friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.

14 – Florence Martin – Accountant & sub-contractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal, Mean, Arkansas, airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.

15 – Suzanne Coleman – Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death.

16 – Paula Grober – Clinton”S speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until her death December 9, 1992. She died in a one car accident.

17 – Danny Casolaro – Investigative reporter. Investigating Mean Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently, in the middle of his investigation.

18 – Paul Wilcher – Attorney investigating corruption at Mean Airport with Casolaro and the 1980 “October Surprise” was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993 in his Washington DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death.

19 – Jon Parnell Walker – Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington, Virginia apartment balcony August 15, 1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guaranty scandal.

20 – Barbara Wise -Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996. Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of Commerce.

21 – Charles Meissner – Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash.

I find myself compelled to point out that though all these facts appear to be true, any connection between these 47 deaths and the Clintons remains a matter of suspicion, not fact. The Clintons would need to be powerful beyond anything I can imagine to rack up this long a list of murders ordered by or done on their behalf without someone blowing the whistle on something.

But I’ll grant you that the list is too long to accept as mere coincidence without being suspicious. I could wish for a thorough investigation into every last second of both their lives.

I suspect that the FBI discovered one or more of the following:

    1) Inappropriate disclosure of confidential information to Wiener or evidence of intent behind Clinton’s reckless disregard for confidentiality.

    2) Evidence tampering indicated by emails that originated from or were destined to Clinton, but were slightly different (i.e. confidential discloser markings, attachments or unauthorized recipients were removed).

    3) Emails threads that clearly talked about state business and that were sent between Hillary’s private server and Abadin’s private server and that have not otherwise come to light.

    4) Email evidence for pay to play.

To anyone who has followed the Clintons using just the information that’s made public it’s evident that they’re as corrupt as you would ever hope to find. Or maybe, since they have held important offices in DC, you would hope not to find. And it’s becoming evident that Chelsea is as corrupt as her parents — which is a shame but nevertheless true. However, even before Obama and Clinton ruled State it was evident that the State Department was not running according to the president’s foreign policy but according to its own set of rules. This much you can learn by just watching the news and being able to do simple arithmetic. 1 + 1 does not equal 5 or any other number except 2. It was also helpful to find a blog run by some disaffected state department career management people. That was very enlightening reading during the Tsunami aftermath in Indonesia during the Bush administration. Unfortunately it was shut down a ew months after I started reading it. But I see that it’s back up again as version 2.0, The Diplomad. You may find it interesting reading.

Now comes the unraveling of the Clintons’ little private enterprise and it’s as ugly as as hell. Clinton was Obama’s lapdog while Head of State. The important unanswered question is this, what, if anything did Obama tell her to do and what was the payback for Clinton? This is important from my point of view because so far, no one has been able to make a direct connection between any scandal and Obama. And those connections, whatever their nature, are something we must find out and broadcast far and wide. The country and the world deserve to see this reckoning and understand it even more than they deserve to see justice done to Hillary Clinton. And it appears to some of us DC watchers that the president simply surrounds himself with rabid supporters and relies on their judgment to tell them what to do. Or at the worst, he talks up some subject publicly and then his lapdogs know what the boss wants and do it. So he maintains plausible deniability, off the hook, while others get the blame for what is his affirmative responsibility to make sure is not happening.

The FBI director is suspected of a great big conflict of interest that resulted in his decision not to prosecute in spite of her violating several federal laws about classified material and I can forward the material I have regarding this if Jo wants it. Unfortunately I cannot vouch for it but it does not rely on unnamed sources but on publicly available information which anyone who tries to, can verify. So the case against Clinton makes itself and doesn’t need the FBI to tell us what happened because as I have said before, the rules regarding what is and what is not classified do not depend on it’s being marked classified but on the material it contains. And how many classified documents did the FBI find on her server, a server for which she alone has the responsibility? If the FBI could recognize them as classified or easily find someone who could, so could Hillary Clinton. And anyone who has held a security clearance will know I’m right about this, including Hillary Clinton. She would have been briefed about what is classified and why. I certainly was when I obtained my clearances. And so was she.

We can consider Attorney General Loretta Lynch in this if we want to because she may have given the FBI orders or advice concerning Clinton’s case. And she has a smoking gun pointing right at her because of the late night meeting with husband Bill. But in the end, Clinton is convicted by her own actions, all of which are quite well known. Yet not very many can add 1 + 1 and get 2 out of it. Amazing! National Review is a publication for which I once had a lot more respect than I do now. But they see it. Fox News sees it. I see it. And no one can move it off dead center and get a criminal referral from the FBI to the DOJ.

It’s way over par for any golf outing — 18 holes, all a hole in none.

These things you have done should be the kiss of death to your presidential aspirations. But the corruption of our county’s government may save your hide. Nonetheless this voter wishes you nothing but failure on November 8, 2016. You deserve it and so does your country.

I think what people are missing is that Huma , as she is known , swore under oath to the FBI , that she had handed in all her emails and importantly the devises that they came from , now we know that was not true , it does not matter what about the contents of those emails , weather they were about yoga or spaghetti knitting or actually state secrets , its irrelevant , she lied under oath , and the FBI do not take kindly to that , its a federal offence to tell porkies under oath , you lose your immunity to prosecution , so when the democrats are up in arms asking the FBI to release the newly discovered emails and see if they have any state secrets on is just smoke and mirrors , the only question you have to ask is if Abedin will go down without taking everyone with her ,still I guess Obama can pardon her , but where would she be on the list of those that need pardoning

      Dave,

It looks more and more like “Huma” was the actual Secretary of State. But no matter because the responsibility for State’s getting things wrong and for Hillary’s sins still hangs entirely around Hillary Clinton’s neck. She was the boss, not “Huma”.

I am 80 years old. The closest thing that I have seen to this was the 1976 April National AGU Meeting in Washington, DC, when the late Dr. Dwarka Das Sabu and I were ambushed by the US NAS and NASA for revealing that the Sun itself birthed the entire solar system five billion years ago.

Twenty years earlier, when I was an undergraduate student, the late Dr. Paul K. Kuroda was ambushed at the 1956 April National AGU Meeting in Washington, DC for revealing that self-sustaining nuclear reactors burned spontaneously on Earth two billion years ago.

The US NAS is the common element in these two cases of scientific deceit.

        Dave,

I’m 77 years old and I’ve never seen it this bad either.

The answer to your question gets a little complicated. I remain proud of my country for what it stood for, should stand for now but doesn’t and proud that there are still many of us who want it fixed so that the Constitution is once more the authority on what this country should be and our Constitution is no longer walked all over by anyone in office who happens to find it’s provisions inconvenient, not even by Supreme Court justices.

I am ashamed of our current situation but I still hold my head up high, knowing that I’m one of those who resist by any means I have available (my words and my vote are basically all have). And yes, I’m not above crying about it sometimes.

I’m afraid for the future. This is a critical election, perhaps the most critical election we have ever held. And it’s looking like a win for Hillary. On the other hand, the only poll that really counts for anything is the one that happens on November 8. So we have only a few days to wait to find out which way we go. There is evidence that the tide is turning…

I hope that answers your question.

        RAH says something important too.

It makes the US citizen angry as hell!

And I’m angry right along side of RAH!

Do not let it bother you at all that you disagree with me on “many things”. It’s only a problem if we begin to fight about it instead of discussing our differences. I don’t rule out that you might change my mind about something.

… Obama can pardon her , but where would she be on the list of those that need pardoning

Genuine question from a non-US person:

Is there some constitutional limit to the number of people a departing Pres can pardon, and a hard limit to the sort of crimes they may be pardoned for … or is just a form letter ?

      30

ian , the president can only pardon people for federal offences , he cannot pardon anyone for offences in individual states or foreign nations , so offences committed outside of America or in individual states must be prosecuted by those states , that’s why the work of Australian Micheal Smith (and others ) is so important

        Consider this, Ian:

If she is “pardoned” by anyone, including a President, does that not state, unambiguously, that she is ‘guilty’ of some crime, therefore cementing her place in history as a criminal?

“does that not state, unambiguously, that she is ‘guilty’ of some crime”

You mean like the immunity given to many of Clinton’s aids for their testimony?

A pardon is basically a get of of jail free card and can also be used to prevent prosecution all together. If Trump wins, I actually hope Obama does pardon Clinton since it will be validation of her crimes and her trial of the century dominating the news would be too disruptive as Trump is getting his administration started. This is basically why Ford pardoned Nixon.

No I do not think that is correct co2. Obama could not pardon anyone for anything not yet discovered. In order for there to be a pardon, there has to be guilt of a Federal offense.

“In order for there to be a pardon, there has to be guilt of a Federal offense.”

There’s apparent guilt of federal offense(s) and many others have been prosecuted and sentenced for far less. Guilt is generally necessary for a pardon, but a conviction is not, although it can be. While guilt can also be made moot with an immunity deal, an immunity deal can’t be made after conviction, but a pardon can.

I do not see how any pardon can be given unless there has been a conviction. For what do you pardon someone unless a court has said guilty of X, Y or Z. Ford pulled a fast one on the American people. He had no idea what Nixon was actually guilty of but he wrote out a pardon and signed it anyway. And no matter what his intentions were it was not a good deal for the country. We deserved to know what our commander-in-chief had actually done. Instead there is only… …only what? Only uncertainty about Nixon. We have a lot of evidence to look at but no final decision by the courts. You can read the draft articles of impeachment all day and you only know what was suspected — all subjective where it should be objective.

I was driving on a rather crooked mountain road on my way to work in Santa Monica when I heard about the pardon on the radio. I was so angry I nearly went off the road. I’m angry at Ford to this day. And it’s not that I was so hot to see Nixon punished but that the country deserved to find out what exactly had happened in the Watergate scandal that involved Nixon. It’s the same thing now with HIllary and her other half, smiling Bill. We need to know exactly what they have and have not done a whole lot more than we need to punish them, not that they don’t deserve the punishment.

“We deserved to know what our commander-in-chief had actually done.”

We do know and did at the time. It was about being in on the cover up of a minor B&E done by some low level political operatives in their attempt to get dirt on the other side.

I think the pardon was a good idea and it avoided us being subject to the spectacle of the trial of a US president. Ford’s brief reign was tough enough and putting Nixon on trial wouldn’t have prevented a progressive left administration from rising to power (Carter).

I also think that if Trump wins, it would be a good idea for him to pardon Clinton under the condition that she never has anything to do with government ever again. That little bit of good will could go a long way.

While I agree that we cannot get closure about Nixon, I do not agree it was a fast one. Like it or not, the power of the presidential pardon is absolute. The constitution only says what cannot be pardoned (impeachment), but does not limit it in any other venue.

@Co2isnotevil – No, pardoning of Clinton would solidify the message and perception that they are above the law. I will agree with a commutation of the sentence once convicted. But if we are ever going to be able to trust anyone in power again, the Clinton scandals must go to conclusion.

                Phil,

If Clinton wins and Obama pardons her or she pardons herself (as her husband apparently did), then your assertion of a demonstration of the political elite being above the law would definitely be the case and government would grind to a halt as a revolution ensues.

If Trump wins and pardons Clinton with the caveat that she never have anything to do with government again, that would be OK since it would be an admonition of her illegal activities and that alone could restore trust without the need for a spectacle as it builds good will with the left who will need to cooperate in order for a Trump presidency to proceed forward.

Certainly, a trial of Hillary with a guilty verdict and accompanying punishment would be satisfying, but it’s not like nobody knows whether or not she’s guilty of the many illegal activities she has been engaged in and the public will learn nothing from a trial nor will it scare other crooked politicians straight. The only point a trial would resolve is that she doesn’t think she did anything wrong, while the law says otherwise.

BTW I disagree about impeachment being an unpardonable offense. Ford pardoned Nixon and while Nixon resigned before formally being impeached or charged with any crimes, this was not the case when Clinton effectively pardoned himself when he was actually impeached.

@co2isnotevil – Re: Impeachment. No, that is what the constitution says and that much makes sense. A president cannot pardon himself if he is impeached. It has to follow its natural course.

Nixon was never impeached. Most people get confused about that, but only 2 presidents have been impeached – Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. And Clinton never pardoned himself. He could pardon his perjury crime (he was wise enough not to), but he was not convicted of it in the senate, so there was no need in any event. Impeachment is an indictment, not a conviction.

Once you are impeached, the senate must hold the trial. They can acquit (which happened both times), but the president is powerless to prevent it. Besides, the punishment for conviction is merely removal from office, so Nixon was already out of office.

As for Hillary, The only way to see Trump pardon her is if she signs an admission of guilt. Or after she is convicted. Any less, and no one is going to believe in justice.

                Phil,

You need to put the Clinton impeachment hearings in context in order to see how he ‘effectively’ pardoned himself. The Senate was divided strictly on party lines (50/50) on the obstruction charge, so it was Gore who acquitted him (better than a pardon). Had Gore known at the time that there was no way he would ever be elected president, he might have chosen differently. On the perjury charge, a few Republicans switched sides, apparently understanding the meaning of ‘is’ to be as Clinton inferred.

@Co2isnotevil – It takes 67 to convict, and there was never that much support for any of the charges because the democrats had over 40 votes themselves. So Gore never came into play (and would not as the number is set constitutionally and not by members present).

            Hi Phil,

What you say is 100% true: she has NOT been convicted of anything … … … … …

            … … … yet.

But what I was trying to say was that there is no need to “pardon” someone, unless that person has done something. If I have done nothing wrong, at any time, to any one, then there is nothing I need to be pardoned for. The only need for a “pardon”, is if I have actually committed some illegal act. I could throw myself on the mercy of the court, or try any tactic to obtain propitiation, but only if I have done some real crime. The innocent never need pardoning — — only the guilty do.

Apologies if I was not clear; to me, the Clinton Crime Family Foundation deserve to burn in Hell for all of Eternity, and the sooner the better!

On June 29th the Washington Post reported that Huma was involved in the suggestion to set up a private server. Since Huma spent half her life in her native Saudi Arabia, and she and her mother were editors of a magazine magazine wholly opposed to western culture, it is not beyond possibility that she still holds those views.

In which case, a likely scenario is that she was deliberately planted into the Clinton campaign as a spy. She arrived as an intern, on the back of large Saudi donations to the Clinton Fund. And worked here way up through the DNC system by using her extensive and lucrative links in the mid east. And married a Jewish man, in what must be the most staged and arranged marriage in political history. Machiavelli would have been proud of that one. And eventually became number two to Hillary.

Given the national security possibilities here, just how thoroughly was Huma vetted? Does anyone really know where her true sympathies lie? Was there less of a security threat from Russia and China, and much more of a security threat from Saudi Arabia?

As far as the State Department is concerned, Saudi Arabia is a Favoured Nation, with several bilateral relationships. It is not as though Huma was North Korean, or anything.

You say that Huma spent half her life in Saudi Arabia. Presumably that was when she was young? Or do you mean to imply that she commuted between the US and Saudi Arabia, on a regular basis?

Also, where is the evidence that she was one of the editors of her Mother’s magazine? We have your assertions, but no concrete examples. Did any of the articles carry her Byline?

Who do you suppose, “planted her into the Clinton campaign as a spy”, and how did they achieve that? At the time she was hired, was there even a campaign? The time-lines in all this, just do not hold together. It takes years to put a spy in place, especially when highly classified material is involved.

I have already asked about her security clearance vetting (see 10.2.3, in answer to 10.2, above). The remainder of your final paragraph is just supposition.

James Comey has seven years left in his term as FBI director.

The rumour is that the ‘new’ evidence is substantial (unequivocal, evidence of perjury, widespread destruction of evidence, and pay for play – i.e. pay for play is the reason, the motivation, as to why the Clintons set up a server in their barn which they thought would enable them to hide from outside agency freedom of information requests) and will hence force the FBI/US legal system to take action.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Comey

    From Wikipedia – James Comey

“In May 2013, it was reported,[39][40] and in June 2013 it was made official, that President Barack Obama would nominate Comey to be the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, replacing outgoing director Robert Mueller.[41] Comey was reportedly chosen over finalist Lisa Monaco, who had overseen national security issues at the Justice Department during the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012.[42][43]

Comey was confirmed by the Senate on July 29, 2013, for a full ten-year term running the Federal Bureau of Investigation.[44]He was sworn in as FBI director on September 4, 2013.[45]”

    P.S.
If the new evidence is substantial, there is zero chance the FBI investigation will be rushed to enable any preliminary findings to be released before the election.

No, that would be against the rules, but enough damage has already been done. The FBI is only covering its back just in case Donald wins.

Is there any truth to the rumor that the democrat party is thinking of changing its name to the “Pardon Me Party”–as in most of the democrat party top brass is pleading: “Please Mr. President, before you leave office don’t forget to pardon me?”

***not nearly as crazy as the alt-left, Peter:

30 Oct: Guardian: Katharine Murphy: Peter Garrett says ALP can reverse vote decline by prioritising environment
Former environment minister says party needs to make commitment more explicit in order to win over progressive voters, who have drifted to the Greens
Garrett issued the challenge to his former parliamentary colleagues over the weekend during a lecture he delivered to the Ararat branch of the ALP.
The lecture is a prelude to a fundraising push Garrett will launch on Monday with the former Western Australia premier and federal minister Carmen Lawrence, and the former trade minister Craig Emerson, to strengthen Labor’s grassroots environmental campaign operation, the Labor Environment Action Network (Lean).

“In the midst of the current craziness of the ***alt right both here and abroad, I believe Labor now has a unique opportunity to cement its position as the true party of protecting our natural environment as shadow environment minister Mark Butler has put it,” Garrett said in the weekend lecture…

“Today, with Labor again just a heartbeat away from government, I believe federal Labor’s increasingly low primary vote could be arrested if it unequivocally put environment at the centre of its policy and political focus,” Garrett told branch members in Victoria…

30 Oct: NY Post: Melkorka Licea: Professor who tweeted against PC culture out at NYU
An NYU professor crusading against political correctness and student coddling was booted from the classroom last week after his colleagues complained about his “incivility,” The Post has learned.
Liberal studies prof Michael Rectenwald, 57, said he was forced Wednesday to go on paid leave for the rest of the semester.
“They are actually pushing me out the door for having a different perspective,” the academic told The Post.
Rectenwald launched an undercover Twitter account called Deplorable NYU Prof on Sept. 12 to argue against campus trends like “safe spaces,” “trigger warnings” and other aspects of academia’s growing PC culture…
“I remember once on my Facebook I posted a story about a kid who changed his pronoun to ‘His Majesty’ because I thought it was funny,” he told The Post. “Then I got viciously attacked by 400 people. This whole milieu is nauseating. I grew tired of it, so I made the account.”…

But Rectenwald says he began getting “dirty looks” in his department and on Wednesday figured out why: A 12-person committee calling itself the Liberal Studies Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Working Group, including two deans, published a letter to the editor in the same paper.

“As long as he airs his views with so little appeal to evidence and civility, we must find him guilty of illogic and incivility in a community that predicates its work in great part on rational thought and the civil exchange of ideas,” they wrote.
“We seek to create a dynamic community that values full participation. Such efforts are not the ‘destruction of academic integrity’ Professor Rectenwald suggests, but rather what make possible our program’s approach to global studies,” they argued…READ ON

30 Oct: ConservativeTreehouse: sundance: NYT Florida Poll Showcases Pending Trump Landslide Victory….
The New York Times presents a Florida poll today (LINK) that has author Nate Cohen trying desperately to frame hope for Hillary Clinton where no hope exists.
Overall the poll presentation shows Donald Trump with a 4 point advantage. However, the real story, reflecting the full scope of what’s happening, is marginally buried in the poll internals:
… [ Trump’s ] so strong that Mrs. Clinton has just 55 percent of the vote among white registered Democrats without a degree, compared with Mr. Trump’s 32 percent.
Yes, that is correct. Donald Trump is winning 32% of the largest Florida Democrat constituency, registered white Democrats without a college degree…
    But wait, it gets better:
…[…] Mrs. Clinton had a lead of 41 percent to 33 percent among Cuban voters, with a huge number undecided or supporting a minor-party candidate. Now Mr. Trump leads, 52 percent vs. 42 percent. (link)
Yes, that is correct. Donald Trump is leading 52/42 with Cuban Americans in Florida. A 10 point advantage…
Florida is in solidly in Trump’s column, and has been since day #1 of his candidacy platform announcement…
It will not be close folks. This election won’t even be close.

***Dick gets this much right…but his reasoning (& timeline) is wrong. Trump has probably had the lead all along:

***30 Oct: Dick Morris: Trump Took Lead Before FBI Announcement
History will undoubtedly say that the Comey announcement that the FBI is reopening its investigation into Hillary’s emails that turned the 2016 race around and brought Hillary down. But that’s a false narrative…
Polling suggests that Trump’s gains predate Comey’s announcement. Most dramatic was the heavily Democratic biased ABC poll that began the week giving Hillary a 12 point lead and ended the week with Mrs. Clinton clinging to a one point margin. Most ABC interviews were conducted well before Comey spoke.
    So what happened?…

Victor Davis Hanson is an American military historian, columnist, former classics professor, and scholar of ancient agrarian and military history. He is a professor emeritus of classics at California State University, Fresno, and is currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in classics and military history at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. Hanson is too much of a warmonger for me, but ***this made me smile:

30 Oct: City Journal: Victor Davis Hanson: The Clintons As Farce
Hillary Clinton was resting, running out the clock, sitting on a supposed large lead, and hoping that the election was sooner than later…
With the Clintons, farce is the desert to scandal: the profiteering Clinton Foundation as a humanitarian treasure; Hillary the former corporate attorney as child and little-guy crusader; Bill Clinton, ***both sexual predator and feminist hero…
Hillary didn’t just delete e-mails under congressional subpoena; she insisted that some 33,000 e-mails were mostly about yoga and Chelsea’s wedding—sort of like saying that one can beat 31 trillion-to-one odds of turning $1,000 into a $100,000 cattle-futures profit in no time by merely reading the Wall Street Journal. Until Friday, FBI director James Comey, in Hillary’s eyes, was a sober and judicious public servant who had rightly seen insufficient cause for her indictment. Now she believes that he is a rank Republican politico seeking to rob her of her presidency…
Yet no one thought discredited deviant Anthony Weiner could much harm Hillary—except of course “conspiratorial” Donald Trump. He warned months ago that Clinton aide Huma Abedin might have been passing on classified materials to her dissolute husband…
    http://www.city-journal.org/html/clintons-farce-14823.html

28 Oct: Daily Caller: Scott Greer: Did Trump Predict Weiner’s Role In Hillary’s Email Scandal?
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump may have predicted Anthony Weiner’s involvement in the Hillary Clinton email scandal over a year before reports broke Friday the FBI was reopening its investigation into the matter.
“Huma Abedin, the top aide to Hillary Clinton and the wife of perv sleazebag Anthony Wiener, was a major security risk as a collector of info,” Trump tweeted on August 31, 2015.(TWEET)
Trump reechoed his 2015 claim that Weiner’s relationship with Abedin presents a security risk in July, before the two had separated.
“I mean her No. 1 person, Huma Abedin, is married to Anthony Weiner, who’s a sleazeball and a pervert. And I’m not saying that, I mean that’s recorded history, right? I don’t like Huma going home at night and telling Anthony Weiner all of these secrets, OK?” Trump said in a late July press conference (LINK)…

Call me a cynic, but I can’t help wondering if the head of the FBI has just discovered on the grapevine what his fate would be in a Clinton administration. Perhaps he at first went easy, on the understanding that he would remain in his job, only to recently learn the name of his intended replacement. This might have caused him to suddenly take his official duties a bit more seriously while he still has the job? Speculation, I know.

A bit of information about the mechanics of a Federal election in the United States. House of Representatives: Each candidate runs in a race in a congressional district. There are 435 of these. A term is 2 years, so these are held for all 435. Senate: Used to be two representatives determined by state Legislatures. Now, the two run in state wide races. A term is 6 years, so any one seat is up in turn, depending on the biennial election, for 33 or 34 seats. President and Vice President: Parties nominate candidates for the positions. The candidates represent a slate of electors in each state, with the number of electors determined by the number of congressional seats. There are 435 of these and by the number of senators, there are 100 of these. Thus 268 Electoral college votes are required (50% plus 1). State allocation of electors is determined by state law. Some states have it by each district, some by winner take all. After the election results have been certified by the Secretaries of State for each state, the slate of Electors is set and they meet to vote for the winner of the office of President and Vice President. If no candidate gets 50% plus 1, it goes to the House of Representatives (seated early in January, so the next Congress is the one that counts) for the Office of the President and to the Senate for the Office of the Vice-President (same rule here if the Vice-Presidential candidate does not get 50% + 1).

Hillary R. Clinton learned all of the wrong lessons of Watergate. I am nearing the end of my 6th decade of life. While in high school (US term), the Watergate scandal broke. Hearings were televised. The history teacher, recognizing history being made, rolled in big TVs (CRT 48 Hz interlaced scanning) and we watched them in class. This was a raw feed without today’s commentary interspersed. There was a young lawyer on the staff, among others. Then one day a few of the staffers that had previously been seen giving documents to the committeemen weren’t there any more. Guess who one of these staffers was (before marriage). She’s been bad news all of her adult life, as far as I can tell. She’s been getting away with it far too long.

The FBI have their warrant, according to the Telegraph in England

“The FBI has obtained a warrant to begin searching newly discovered emails belonging to top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

Agents are attempting to examine as many of the emails as possible before election day on November 8. However the fact there are 650,000 emails has led to fears that the new probe could last weeks, and, if Hillary Clinton wins the election, hamper the early part of her presidency. ”

It’s hard to know why they needed the warrant if they already found the emails on Weiner’s computer. It goes to show the Secretary of State should not mix her business with State business on a PC in her garage. Did someone thinks DELETE would erase the emails or files? Did Huma give her husband her old PC after ‘deleting’ the files? That would have saved buying a new one. Are there any more PCs out there with 650,000 State emails?

Considering the incredible technology which the US State Department would use to protect the absolute privacy of the President and the Secretary of State from hacking, theft, viruses, spies, it is incredible that Clinton’s assistant’s husband would have plain English copies of all her emails from her garage PC? The mind boggles.

It’s my understanding that Wiener is cooperating with the FBI and gave them the device, so you would think that no warrant is required to look at the emails stored on it. If it was a backup of Abiden’s data on Weiner’s PC or on a shared backup drive and Weiner provided the physical device, they may need a warrant to look at the data stored on it that’s not actually his. They may have a suspicion that she violated the conditions of her immunity agreement and would be probable cause for the warrant.

As I suggested, it is more likely an old Huma computer, not properly cleaned. When you delete a file on a PC it is not deleted. Only the index is removed. You need a professional cleaner to get rid of every last bit or preferably format the whole hard disc. I think the FBI were just covering themselves against a claim of privilege because what they saw was classified.

22 Oct: Washington Times: AP: Soros group is accuse of violating Arizona election law
PHOENIX (AP) – A campaign finance violation complaint has been filed with the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office against a newly formed independent political committee linked to hedge fund tycoon George Soros.
An attorney representing Republican incumbent Bill Montgomery’s re-election campaign for Maricopa County Attorney filed a complaint Friday, saying the Arizona Safety & Justice has violated a state election law.
Soros has been spending millions of dollars this year to support Democrats in prosecutor races around the country and all but one of his favored candidates have won.
Phoenix lawyer Brett Johnson says the law requires political committees making independent expenditures to a candidate or office within 60 days of an election to provide 24 hours’ notice to opponents about submitted print or television ads.
Montgomery’s campaign says it was not notified.
Whitney Tymas, Arizona Safety & Justice chairwoman, says the committee has fully complied with election law. In a statement, she called the complaint a “groundless attempt to distract voters.”

14 Oct: ZeroHedge: “The Most Important WikiLeak” – How Wall Street Built The Obama Cabinet
Perhaps the most startling discovery of the WikiLeaks dumps so far didn’t come from the most recent emails surrounding the various Hillary scandals, though there are many great ones, but from 2008 when John Podesta served as co-chair of President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team. The email came from Michael Froman, a former Citibank executive, who single-handedly built the entire cabinet of what was supposed to be the “main street” President…
As New Republic points out, the Froman appointments ended up being almost entirely right.

-The cabinet list ended up being almost entirely on the money. It correctly identified Eric Holder for the Justice Department, Janet Napolitano for Homeland Security, Robert Gates for Defense, Rahm Emanuel for chief of staff, Peter Orszag for the Office of Management and Budget, Arne Duncan for Education, Eric Shinseki for Veterans Affairs, Kathleen Sebelius for Health and Human Services, Melody Barnes for the Domestic Policy Council, and more. For the Treasury, three possibilities were on the list: Robert Rubin, Larry Summers, and Timothy Geithner.
This was October 6. The election was November 4. And yet Froman, an executive at Citigroup, which would ultimately become the recipient of the largest bailout from the federal government during the financial crisis, had mapped out virtually the entire Obama cabinet, a month before votes were counted. And according to the Froman/Podesta emails, lists were floating around even before that.
Many already suspected that Froman, a longtime Obama consigliere, did the key economic policy hiring while part of the transition team. We didn’t know he had so much influence that he could lock in key staff that early, without fanfare, while everyone was busy trying to get Obama elected. –

    the unprecedented election.

the mea culpa naturally tries to cast some blame on Trump, but it’s clear the paper is losing readers and needed to do something:

30 Oct: BizPacReview: Carmine Sabia Jr: Florida paper makes unprecidented apology to readers for anti-Trump coverage; ‘you deserve more balance’
A central Florida newspaper has apologized to its readers for the decidedly anti-Donald Trump coverage that has been published during the election.
The Daily Commercial published an editorial titled “The media, the election and bias” on Oct. 23 that explained the paper is reliant on wire services for much of its election coverage and those reports are weighted heavily against Trump.
“The Daily Commercial hasn’t done enough to mitigate the anti-Trump wave in the pages of this paper,” it wrote. “You deserve a more balanced approach to the coverage of elections and other weighty issues.”
In what it described as an “open letter” that it described as “part explanation, part reflection and part mea culpa” the paper apologized to its readers…
“Why, you may ask, do we feel the need to broach this topic at this late date in the election? Frankly, an uncomfortably sizable number of our readers have been writing and calling to express their dissatisfaction with what they believe is the media’s bias toward Donald Trump, and they are pointed in their criticism of the Daily Commercial, which they believe has gotten swept up in the anti-Trump wave. WaPo gushing lovefest (which Fairfax carried) doing damage control for Nate Silver.

If a statistics guru can be a rock star, Silver surely is. But even rock stars have bad days.
Silver, 38, had a run of them a few months ago, when it became obvious that his consistent early dismissals of Donald Trump’s chances to be the Republican presidential nominee were flat-out wrong.
And this University of Chicago graduate wasn’t used to being wrong…
But when it came to Trump, Silver and Co. missed the boat with a resounding splash…
Many took comfort, trusting that Silver could not be wrong.

***Diplomats said it would also send a message to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who has complained that European allies do not pay their way in the alliance…

second, by Ian Birrell, who described Brexit as “the electorate’s self-destructive verdict” (Guardian 18 Oct), & who also writes for Wall Street Journal, Guardian, Independent, The Observer, The Daily Telegraph, The Sun, The Spectator and Mosaic etc etc. what a tool:

30 Oct: UK Daily Mail: The Plague of Putin: Our chilling dispatch from a small town in Estonia where residents speak of World War Three and the hundreds of Russian tanks which could invade them at any given time
By Special Report From Ian Birrell In Estonia For The Mail On Sunday
Yet what is so alarming is not just that Putin’s message of supposed Russian insecurity in the face of Western aggression shapes opinion at home, but its corrosive impact abroad.
Just look at how his ‘useful idiots’ range from Nigel Farage and ***Donald Trump on the Right, through to George Galloway, Jeremy Corbyn and his spin doctor Seumas Milne on the Left…

30 Oct: InvestorsDaily: Clinton Vs. Trump: IBD/TIPP Presidential Election Tracking Poll
    Day 13 Results: Oct. 31
Clinton’s Lead Shrinks To 1 Point As Voters React To The FBI’s Email Bombshell — IBD/TIPP Poll
    (44.7 to 43.7)

    comments at freerepublic:
This poll uses a weighted sample of D+7…
Note that Trump is leading 48% to 32% among I…
This poll is D+7. It assumes that Hillary will get a bigger turnout than Obama. But we already know from multiple reports that black turnout is down by double digits in early voting…
Reweighted to +12 in Hillary’s favor (from raw to weighted)…
LoL and wow IBD straight up poll is R +5. So they re-weight it by subtracting R -12% for a D +7.
The pollsters are going to be off by double digits for their Hellary. All for their liberal and socialistic ideology they’ll lie…

    lock him up:

30 Oct: NY Post: Lindsay Putnam: Man who allegedly destroyed Trump star could get three years in prison
He’s going from stars to bars.
James Otis, who allegedly took a pickax to Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, could be slapped with a felony and serve up to three years in prison.
The Los Angeles Police Department will recommend to the district attorney that Otis be prosecuted with a felony rap, a law-enforcement source said told TMZ. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which will have to foot the bill for the star’s repairs, supports the charge…

Yes, most of us know who Weiner is. And the jokes just keep coming! It would be kind of ironic if indeed this is what brings Hillary down. Many on the left in this country still whine about Bill being prosecuted for sex. But he was not. He was prosecuted for lying under oath. The lie was about sex, but the crime was perjury.

And now Hillary is having the same thing. Getting nailed for lying, but being discovered due to another investigation into a sex affair.

Now, almost seven years after Climategate emails surfaced in November 2009, we can only be certain government scientists are not lying when their lips are not moving and their printers are not printing. The lucrative careers of many leading scientists and editors of scientific journals may abruptly change in a week.

The paper on solar cosmic rays is now published: http://www.journalijar.com/article/12657/solar–cosmic–rays–and–climate./

The preprint is easier to read and more poignant: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/HUMAN_DESTINY.pdf

Hiding the Sun’s pulsar core from the public required the skills of NAS racketeering..

I may write a short note on cosmology before finally retiring from science.
