In a country where 30C is a declared emergency, you need to ban everything. There will be a statistical correlation with increased rate of bird droppings. Most importantly, send more cash to the UN to do something about rapid global warming, even if the energy source is nuclear, wind or solar.

Has anyone noticed the forest fires in Europe…due to climate change, of course.
I would think of a thousand smart remarks, like ma nature trying to balance ut C oh two ..
but having been in a forest fire, they are genuinely terrifying.
In the US west, things were controlled for many years. The fires are a natural thing…lightning, ya know, but if
you permit a fair amount of logging dispersed across your entire forest you have both fire-beaks and roads,
not to mention heavy equipment and operators that will pitch in when needed. Sequester some to stay natural, put th rest on a cycle length
determined by the tree species, keep the arborists busy watching for beetles and botulism, and you have a healthy forest and manageable
fires. Drought years are tougher so you pre-position assets and stop controlled burns then.
We did this for about 80 years.
Then we were told to stop, sometimes by people who, I swear, had never seen a tree that wasn’t growing in a pot. SO the Pseudo-scientific left banned most logging and forestry
in flyover country, and our fires have been more difficult ever since. These aren’t virgin growth forests in Europe, either, for the most part, as wood was their primary construction material for buildings and boats for, oh, 20 centuries. But now we “preserve” them, and so they burn.

It’s very noticeable in the UK that we get plenty of instant BBQ fires up to the point the BBC start issuing the warnings, then the big deliberate fires start.

As someone who lives on the land, and lived through, some years ago, one of the most recent catastrophic fires in NSW, the prospect of the coming summer is accompanied by some foreboding.
Our valley is bordered by National Park which, although it is criss crossed by fire trails, is never “back burned” on its margins, adjacent to farmland. In view of the very hot summer just seen in the northern hemisphere, we are somewhat concerned about our forthcoming summer., as conditions are very dry.
Re the catastrophic fires in Europe and now developing in Scotland and Canada- my feeling is that these are seasonal weather events . But the influence of environmental fanatics in preventing better care of the forests and bush in terms of reducing fire hazards near settlements is certainly an aggravating factor in modern times.

I was astonished to read of the breadth and depth of Canada euthanasia law with some 16000 people annually dying through it. In Britain they are trying to get such a law on the statute books but it would seem the Canadian definition for euthanasia is broadly drawn with not everyone seeming that willing.

I guess that is one way to keep a publicly-funded medical system solvent … kill your patients before they take up too much of your time. Housebuilding in Britain is expected to surge following the influx of migrants that the general population say are not wanted but falls on Deaf Govt ears.
I think there is a similar situation in Oz with the population surging, often with people from China, SE Asia and India.
In Britain there is a practical block on housebuilding, the disposal of sewage. You can couple that with the lack of reservoir capacity to supply Britain’s water needs, without even diverting down the topic of data centres and their use of water. Come to that, where is the electricity coming from?
Obviously the elite in both our countries have got the matters well in hand and will deal with any problems that arise with their usual level of competence.

On the whole Britain has more water than OZ but it has an aging infrastructure. I don’t know whether water or sewage disposal in Australia is a concern as your population grows?

Not really a problem at the moment but the Government doesn’t allow any new dams to be built or useful infrastructure in general.
All efforts are directed toward Australia becoming a “Renewables Stupidpower”.
It’s a deranged obsession of Government and the Left in general, as is the mass importation of some of the world’s most violent and uneducated people as future Labor voters.

Does the recombinant shingles vaccine reduce the risk of dementia?
On a side note: I got shingles when I was trekking in the Himalayas and I was way beyond medical help with nowhere close for a medical helicopter to land so I had to tolerate it and push on and it was absolutely miserable (not that medical intervention would have helped much even if available). Prior to that, the medical recommendation was that my age group at the time didn’t need to get the vaccine but that changed soon after.

I saw that video the other day, and I suspect there is quite a bit more to that guy than just being a woke troon. He seemed like someone who has pretty serious chemical imbalances in his noggin and was off his meds. He might be employable if he can find a way to stick to his medication schedule. I’ve known a lot of relatively stable and functional members of society on antipsychotics who cease being either of those things if they stop taking their meds.

I would suggest that taking 5000U of Vit D3 per day would achieve far more including preventing or reducing the impact of any infection and cancer as a side benefit. Not just shingles any infection.
Even TB struggles to kill you with adequate Vit D levels.
