Perth event Saturday May 30th: Green Greed and the Grid

I’ll be speaking tomorrow at an event organized by Gerard Rennick’s team in WA. He will take part from Queensland by video link. It’s all things crazy about the energy crisis, and the pagan witchcraft masquerading as science, and finding a path out of the swamp.

The great thing about these events is meeting the people who come.

It includes food and drinks so anyone who can make it will need to register and pay $33 today so they know the numbers.

Mount Hawthorn Main Hall, Perth, WA from 3pm -7:30pm  Tomorrow.

Best wishes Jo. I’m afraid I can’t be there as I am in the Not-so-glorious People’s Undemocratik Republik of Viktoriastan.

All the best for tomorrow Jo and I hope you all have a great day. Can we have a video update, for anyone who can’t make it?
Failing that, even a copy of your speech would be okay.

It’s all things crazy about the energy crisis,

I asked Copilot for an estimate of the RET driven transfer of wealth from the low income sector to high income sector for WA.

STCs mid range estimate just for WA $5bn. From generally low income households without rooftop solar to those who have rooftop solar.

LGCs from low income households to wind and solar farm proponents $2bn.

It is amazing the number of low income earners who still vote for Labor and Greens when they have been the greatest supporters of the theft.

Sadly Howard introdiced this mechanism way back in 2000. Rudd supercharged it and Abbott reall;ised it was a mistake and desperately tried to roll it back only to be rolled by Turncoat and like-minded scammers deep into the theft side of the scam.

I often remind people that the wholesale electricity price averaged just $23/MWh through 2003. Lat year it was $97/MWh. So that component alone is 4-fold. Then there are massively increased costs of all the new services to keep the “renewable” grid stable.

It is worth noting that the STCs and LGCs are only the direct theft. People with rooftop solar get a near free ride for the services the grid affords them.

There would be quite a few households in Australia who have not had electricity bills over the past decade or so despite relying on the grid at times.

I said from the start of this that it was theft from the poor to supplement the rich and/or those able to add rooftop solar.
Some people were offended by this.
      Thin skins I think.
I wasn’t accusing them directly of theft.
Nobody turns down a freebie if it’s available.
It’s a policy driven scam that means that the poor in society end up paying the majority of the cost.
One of the worst part of this scam/scheme is that the costs are not a one-off, they are ongoing.
