The unwashed masses know it’s a scam, but will the Liberals finally escape Net Zero?

By Jo Nova

The unwashed masses know Net Zero is bad science

Plumbers, taxi drivers, boiler makers, tradies — they don’t believe the Professors of Climate Science (just ask them).

Climate change has been pushed too hard for so long, that nobody needs a PhD in atmospheric physics to know it’s a scam. Climate change causes everything that’s bad and nothing that’s good. It’s just like long form infomercial for a weather pill. 100% guaranteed to make your Wedding Day sunny in 2096 or your money back. *Terms and conditions apply.

CO2 will cause the sixth mass extinction — but the people who say they worry about that, don’t worry so much they want to use nuclear power. If you thought the oceans were going to boil, and you could stop that with a nuclear plant, wouldn’t you? It’s a fifty year old technology with a great record. If we’d started building the plants 15 years ago, we’d be done now. Instead, they were so worried, they insisted we use a totally new technology and invent the answers, and the batteries for it, on the way. Sure, in an emergency, break glass, discover stuff!

No one needs an Earth Science degree to notice that the same people who say they are panicking about carbon emissions still fly private jets, and buy houses on the beachfront.  There is no missing that *Doom* has been coming for thirty years, but the world still looks the same. Fifty million climate refugees never came, the beaches didn’t shrink, the oceans didn’t boil, and global crops hit record highs.

The real world is beating the Liberals over the head — but yet they still might not get there.

Faced with oblivion — at the last minute, the Liberal Party are finally thinking about dumping Net Zero this week.

They are meeting in Canberra on Wednesday.

Donald Trump did all the hard work for them, took all the risks, and proved voters want this twice. Nigel Farage shows it translates to  other countries, and polls show 69% of Australians want more coal and gas power if they get cheaper electricity. And yet the “moderates” pretend that elections are unwinnable if any party annoys the 7% of voters who think carbon emissions are more important than cheap electricity.

Everything has flipped

As a topic Climate Change is more likely to push voters away.

This week AGL Energy is selling its stake in Tilt Renewables. Tellingly, the team at the Australian Financial Review say this is a trend:

The divestment comes as gentailers across the world move away from holding and funding capital-intensive renewables projects on their balance sheets.”

Across the country the members of the Liberal Party in state branches are voting against Net Zero.

The grassroots membership is trying   Queensland | WA | SA | Victoria | and the Northern Territory.

Map, Australian States.Members in the  South Australian branch are so fed up there has been a mass exodus. More than 200 members quit the party in the last month. According to The Australian longstanding members were leaving and saying it was because of Sussan Ley’s weak leadership, and the Net Zero policy. Branches in Sydney are also demanding Sussan Ley drop Net Zero.

The only people in the world still scared of being called a Climate Denier are in the Australian Liberal Party.

In just one year, the UK Tories went from being a 200 year old ruling party in government to being a minor party. Kemi Badenoch finally vowed to repeal the UK Climate Change Act, but it was too late. The UK conservatives had failed to represent half the country, thus leaving the door wide open for a real alternative. That space was filled by Nigel Farage and Reform, and now Farage looks brave and the old conservative party looks like they are just copying him.

Real leaders make decisions when they are hard to make. They don’t wait until every man and his dog has figured it out and is barking at them.

In Australia 93% of Australians don’t want to spend any more than $2 a week to get to Net Zero. (And yet they are).

How is that not an election winning majority just begging for a party to vote for?

“Kier Starmer flew all the way to the UN meeting in Brazil to say the consensus on climate action is gone.”

But he’s not backing down, still full steam ahead throwing the UK under the electric bus.

AirBus Elbow isn’t going but I wonder how many of Blackout Bowen’s “Dept of Stuffing Up Australia’s Electricity Grid” are going? Or, Blackout himself.

At the previous ‘Cop Out’ in Baku, a whole mob of Public Serpents went along. What a nice ‘Jolly’ and they all had a jolly good time.

ALL at the Australian Taxpayer’s expense. Meanwhile back in the ‘Lucky Country’ there is a Housing Crisis, Cost of Living Crisis, Nut Zero, Record Immigration and Elevated Energy Bills………..And miles and miles of BS…………..

75 Australians went to COP29. Couldn’t find any data on how many went to COP30.

There doesn’t appear to be any numbers yet. But given China, India and the USA haven’t bothered to send delegates, it’s safe to assume that we are massively overrepresented on an omissions to attendee ratio.

Bearing in mind COP OUT 29 participants from poorer nations were communicating to find free food around the conferences, this article gives a little preview into this year’s event in Brazil. It’s likely there will be similar stories emerging soon. I can almost guarantee that every Australian participant will have a nice hotel room at our expense. While the Lithuanian representative doesn’t mention private jets, he suggests why can’t we do all this on video link?!

            https://www.dailysabah.com/business/economy/costly-hotel-prices-leave-countries-reconsidering-cop30-attendance

If Adelaide wants to host COP OUT 31, the number of quality hotel rooms will be disproportionate to the number of incoming passengers on the COP gravy train. Not that this would deter Big Wind Bowen- as numbers that do not add up are not his thing. A massive stuff up in logistics and accommodation could cost him an ambassadorial role or UN appointment in the future. Just looking for the silver lining on the clouds if the ship is not corrected anytime soon.

Looking at that transcript of Starmers’s speech, he blames ‘growing migration flows’ on climate change, not stupid, lefty government largesse.
I’ll wager that virtually none of the crapholes they originate from are doing their utmost to prevent catastrophic man-made climate change either.
Unless, of course, they are saving their little corner of the planet by dumping their mental cases and violent rapists in good old Britannia.

This is the point about the left: they first claim a mandate and public support for their virtue signalling; when that proves to be a lie they then revert to the higher purpose, we’ll save you despite your resistance. Finally they default to outrage and anger that their natural right to be morally superior is rejected and destroy as much as they can for revenge on the ignorant unwashed masses who have rejected them.

Leftism is a mental illness that combines vanity, ego and hatred of the inferior folk who reject the left’s right to rule and their great crusades like global boiling and every other woke issue. The left must have their great causes because that’s how they prove they are superior; and also that other people who do not share their belief in the great cause are inferior and deserve to be ruled and punished.

Climate change was never about saving the planet; it was all about the left gaining power.

The ALP has always had the trouble of cookery by crookery. Its hard to break out from this mediocraty. However, every now and again they have leadership without family. A brief light shines but it always burns out.

The LP has a broad church joined by belief in family but governed by the source of their funding. A fight over money and belief. When the money is winning the LP is losing. When family dominates so does Australia.

Presently we are seeing a transition back to family. Everyone wonders “How did we stray?”

      The answer is simple.

“Free money” and belief in the magic pudding is bad for humanity.

If any policy supports the idea of either, its roots are always supported by self interest.

Great news that “Everything has flipped” and that maybe, perhaps, there is change afoot.

As a famous public figure once said, “it’s time”.

And while it’s truly time that we got rid of this incredible burden that has deceived, confused and crushed us for nearly two decades, there are other factors lurking in the background to be taken in to account.

To acknowledge the scientific truth about CO2 induced global warming might not be everyone’s cup of tea. There are former union leaders now “managing” union super funds that are heavily loaded with renewables “non investments” and even a high visibility liberal poli, JH, took an early investment in renies. Those with fingers in the pie will fight for the status quo.

We wait with bated breath for the truth to emerge from this ugly mess.

The types of people who defenestrated Tony Abbott are still in charge. Their silent agenda has been solidly anti conservative while chasing conservative votes. In other words lying to voters. And people have had enough of liars.

As for the truth, as with the BBC, it has been a casualty of the Liberal party war on the truth, much like the Labor and Green parties. 37 years of endless preaching about the imminent end of the world has to stop. It’s past ridiculous and very, very costly to believe in the Climate fairy.

I still shudder when I hear about THE Science. THE science is not science at all, but lies. There is not a shred of truth in Al Gore’s invention.

And then you add all the woke agenda behind surgical and chemical mutilation of children on a par with Dr. Mengele, apologists for Islamic terror, defund the police and all defences and an end to freedom of speech, even long jail sentences just for expressed opinions, even a single comment. Uncontrolled and utterly incompatible and unsuitable mass immigration, the weaponization of the police and the courts.

Previously democratic Western governments starting with the UK are utterly out of control, run by extremists inside parliament and then inside the public service itself.

And it has all been enabled by internal corruption of the previously conservative party who say one thing to voters and then do as they please. And the voters have woken up. The list of Australian politicians who could not lie straight in bed is very long.

Most insidious are the hidden laws. The 2001 RET CO2 tax introduced by John Howard to cripple coal and gas power stations while passing billions to windmill and solar panels owners. Then the appalling Safeguard Mechanism of Albanese and Chalmers which seems invisible to the press. All based on Julia Gillard’s legislated Agricultural Carbon Credits, unlimited billions of Carbon Taxes in everything we do, no longer just in electricity bills but in transport, farming, manufacturing and even sewage. A 35% tax on CO2 which is legally hidden from the people of Australia and flows in cash to the purveyors of everything Green. Because they cannot hide the soaring cost of electricity any more without electoral backlash. They have gone underground.

“There will be no carbon tax in a Government I lead” is one of the greatest lies in Australian history.

So no CO2 tax on petrol but a legislated 35% CO2 tax on bunker oil, diesel for trucks and tractors and excavators, coal for making steel and kerosene for aircraft, gas for glass making and manufacture. The making of concrete or fertilizers, even the recycling of plastic, shutting down all our essential industries.

Imagine what a 35% tax on fuel for aviation is going to do to the cost of flying or transport? And taxes even on methane from sewage, burial, literally flushing away our cash to buy carbon credits for shutting down agriculture and paying Chinese crooks overseas to pretend to grow trees or grow grass. Zero science. Zero visibility 35% taxes.

We, the people, want the repeal of all carbon tax legislation and the removal of all the tens of thousands of public enforcers hired to make sure the Australian people pay the highest stupidest carbon taxes in the world. All to destroy Australia and send our wealth overseas, just like poor Venezuela. While our deceitful politicians plan their comfortable retirement or meet with their friends at COP30 or the UN which is itself totally corrupt and trying to invent carbon taxes on the planet.

A conspiracy? No. Just the development of a political class on both sides of parliament which does what they want once elected. As Adam Bandt said to me when I accused him of being a communist, when he was just looking to get on the Melbourne City Council, “we tell people what they want to hear and when we get power, we do what we like”. I just didn’t realise that applied to most of the Liberal party too.

None of these endless Carbon laws would exist without the total complicity of the Liberal and National parties and most of the press. By hiding behind hocus pocus pseudo science, even well meaning politicians have just waved it all through as outside their expertise. But you have to ask who could ignore a universal 35% Carbon Dioxide/Methane tax on every aspect of society. aka the Big Polluters. Over 200 companies including even the MMBW. Every mining company, every manufacturer, every smelter, every transport company. And now we heard quietly that they are looking to ‘expand’ the base of companies who will have to pay a 35% CO2 tax.

Why not tax all people, cows, sheep, dogs, birds, fish, bacteria, termites directly just for breathing? Or farting. Or decomposing?

And no one can tell me there is any science at all in this.

Agreed ,there is no conspiracy : there is no attempt to conceal.

The agenda has been clearly signalled for decades.

I am still surprised that Peter Dutton eventually supported the NO vote in the recent referendum. Everyone supported the YES vote except 67% of Australia. The same is true of taxes on CO2 which is why no one says anything about them. Australia would be a mining and agricultural superpower. Except for our politicians, the most cosseted communists in the world. Some even pretend they are free market.

As written on the defunct Berlin Wall, socialist is what totalitarians call themselves.

Nazism and communism are first cousins, both socialists. But after Hitler, Nazism was reclassified as extreme right wing, except it isn’t. They were literally the National Socialists. And racism is historically a large part of nazism and communism. Even today. AntiFA is basically a blackshirts Nazi movement.

In the Antipodes the Labor Party formed organically, with utopian socialist ideas swirling around.

‘The maritime and shearers’ strikes of 1890 and 1891 were the largest, most violent industrial actions seen in Australia, but with the government and police supporting employers both strikes failed to fulfill the unions’ objectives.

‘Activists realised that change for working people would only come about through combined union and political action. This led to the creation of the Australian Labor Party.’

Don’t forget that the last desperate hope for the present Labor Government is the one billion dollar + COP31 in Adelaide which they are desperately trying to secure, and no doubt will. I don’t think the other candidate, Turkey, is stupid enough to throw away that much money.

The Liberals should be screaming from the rooftops about this outrageous waste of taxpayer money, especially as the costs are way more than ten times typical conference costs for Australia, $2,777 per day per person vs typical cost of $220 as I calculated a couple of days ago. Who’s profiting?

For cost calculations see my post:

If nothing else, Australia would get a nice new road out of COP 31 (sorry Koalas, your homes have repossessed), and the local sex motels would get new beds (just not heart-shaped ones).

here in Adelaide, we don’t have sex motels, it’s the city of churches don’t you know and if they build a road it will have to be all the way to Melbourne to bus in the cossetted delegates from the nice 5-star hotels interstate. There are not enough hotel rooms in South Australia for the COP and they haven’t worked it out yet. Maybe tents on the Torrens could be a solution and revive the pie cart (vegan version only) for feeding them.

Being forever hopeful that sanity and truth will eventually win I do despair at the inaction of Sussan and her “team”. It is like that dream where you are being chased by a bull and your feet are stuck in the mud and the fence is slowly getting closer. Will the Liberals wake up in time?

They not only have to reject Net Zero but commit to immediately build some coal fired power stations. A positive statement would stop dead all the proposed renewables and give hope to the bush and those who still believe in the principle of Freehold ownership.

The video I have linked below is a great way to understand how a nuclear reactor works and the super strict rules involved with the employees working there. The documentarian is named Destin Sandlin who is a engineer that has a podcast called ‘Smarter every day.’ He was frightened of nuclear reactors until he was allowed to go into this one and learned how they ran it.

It would be great if Sky news or (dare I say) the ABC, would air it on the tele as the ‘Demos’ would learn how safe it is; it powers millions of homes in the southern US; and I bet they aint complaining.

If the Liberals had any beliefs or moral clarity in anything, it wouldn’t be hard to establish their viewpoint on any issue and stick with it. They shouldn’t need to dither about. They are fence sitters and poll watchers only and will never get elected while they are.

They should be proud to be called the meaningless Leftist ad hominem of being “climate deniers”, whatever that means, not terrified.

I think at least half of the Liberal politicians are fully onboard with the whole woke agenda. It’s a job. Don’t rock the boat. Agree with everyone and do what you like.

The puzzle is not that Tony Abbott was removed as Prime Minister by Labor politician Malcolm Turnbull and friends, but that he walked away and never came back.

Likely because he realised the new politicians were not conservatives or even Labor but main chancers and opportunists without any interest in good government. Epitomised by Malcolm Turnbull and Turnbulls Liberals®. Yes, Malcolm trademarked it! He had done a secret deal with the Greens party. Who betrayed him totally, which was nice.

All follow principle of the late Graham Richardson who espoused through endless scandals, “whatever it takes’. This now applies to almost all politicians. Not people of principle, but people of no principles at all except survival and retirement. All determined to prove wrong “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.” Today most politicians get away with it as they are all on the same side, their own. With a few notable exceptions like Pauline Hanson who did jail time, just like politicians in other countries including now the US, France, Brazil, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ukraine.

        Article from 2018.

        https://www.australiaanalysis.com.au/malcolm-turnbull-brand-differentiation-disaster/

Malcolm Turnbull is creating a serious brand marketing problem for the Liberal Party. The Liberals might need to do something about this and do it soon.

Malcolm Turnbull’s strong leaning to the political left is creating a huge brand marketing problem for the Liberal Party.

The basic problem is one of brand differentiation. The Liberal Party is not differentiating itself from the political left. It is not creating a clear difference between itself and the Labour Party.

And if the Liberal Party is just another left wing party then why should anyone vote for it?

This leftist Liberal Party certainly does not appeal to right wing voters. Conservatives and libertarians are not at all happy with what the Liberal Party has become. And they are leaving the Liberals and going to other more authentic parties.

One of the reasons the Left got rid of Tony Abbott was because he was a conservative and the other related one was because he was weary of the climate change scam.

Lord Monckton warned about the possibility before it happened:

I assume Australian Liberals have the same problem that American Republicans had pre-Trump … that are an ‘establishment’ party that has lost their dominant hold on ‘the establishment’. They still think and govern like it’s their world without realizing the world has passed them by and they need to embrace becoming the counter-culture party. Wear the names you are called as a badge of honor rather than trying to hide from it. When some lefty media talking head or TV show insults you, laugh at it and make it your avatar on social media rather than getting all huffy and self-important. Never apologize for anything you truly believe, even if it gets you booed and protested.

In the words of Rick Sanchez …

Your boos mean nothing. I’ve seen what makes you cheer.

    I have a question.
First it was about the ancient ‘sequestered’ CO2 being released by our anthropogenaity.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, cow farts became a problem.
But the CO2 that came out of our and the cow useless eater escape valves, was supposed to be ok because we were just processing what had not been anciently sequestered.
    And therefore not adding.

Did cow farts become bad because after all this time the cows are now also farting the sequestered CO2 that we released?
This kind of thing keeps me up at night.

Cows regard the promulgation of pseudo -science as quite deplorable.
As for the mercenaries who are rewarded for producing this excrement, cows say “Let them eat grass”.

Honk, it shouldn’t keep you up at night. It’s a simple case of following the money, in this case, big money. The resurrection of CH4 (methane) or cow farts, (technically, it’s not cow farts but cow burps that are perceived to be the problem) was part of a marketing ploy to sell Fake meat. CH4 as a powerful greenhouse gas was actually debunked back in the 1990’s, largely by science. But a number of heavy investors, including Bill Gates, bet big on fake meat a long time ago. So, in order to sell ever increasing amounts of the product there had to be a scare. So, methane was brought out of the ashes to sell fake meat. That’s why cow’s were demonised and there were ” meat free Fridays” etc. Although that never caught on in Australia. The investors sunk 100’s of $b into the industry and no-one even ate the stuff during COVID lockdowns. So over the last couple of years all those big investors ( including Bill Gates ) have been quietly withdrawing as much money as they can. Again, like everything to do with Climate change, it’s a scam. We’ve been duped. We’ve also had a lot of idiot scientists who went along with the whole charade. Hopefully, this helps your sleep. One thing that really works for me- magnesium oil rubbed on the feet and calves immediately before bed. Try it.

Just a slight correction. Got carried away with the money invested in fake meat. A number of years ago the market capitalisation of “Beyond Meat “ company was estimated at about $ 8 billion (US). So billions not 100’s of $b. But still very big money.

Part of the issue of cows was the Left’s war against delicious, mouth-watering meat.

They want to destroy everything that is good and nice for we non-Elites.

Here in the Stupid Country, we are even indoctrinating children by having them eat insects. https://www.spectator.com.au/2022/09/1000-australian-schools-are-fed-insects/

Good point. And cows only replaced millions of buffalo. So part of the pre industrial output including methane.
But it’s all fake science with zero understanding so who cares? How does the planet tell new CO2 from old CO2? They are identical!

In this ridiculous idea of equilibrium new CO2 is a problem because it is different to old CO2. And therefore banned by the planet and so stuck in the air. Or just half of it.

All this is non science. And every chemist knows it. But no one calls it out as science drivel. I remain flabbergasted not at the nonsense but at the silence from scientists.

And allegedly half of fossil fuel CO2 is absorbed. But the other half stays in the air forever! How do the plants and oceans tell the difference? There is no logic at all but people believe it?

        Thanks TdeF.
I was hoping you would respond to my query.
        I have another question.
So if the giant vegetarian dinosaurs were eating enough to maintain their girth, they would have to have been consuming a massage amount of carbon, thus they would certainly have done equally massive farting.
Then the meat eating dinosaurs eat the vegetarians and then they fart.
Seems like a major portion of the CO2 would constantly be cycling around in the atmosphere in an eat/fart/eat/fart feedback loop and would not have a chance to be sequestered.
I’m trying to improve my grasp of science.
        Thank you for your consideration.

It is estimated that 60% of what a cow eats is recycled as organic fertiliser deposited on the field.
A further amount is recycled as exhaust gases from respiration occurring in the rumen etc..

So , as the bison demonstrated , a fair amount is sequestered, and with the addition of a little organic nitrogen(urea) becomes fertile topsoil.

You’re not positing the existence of a carbon cycle , are you?

Heavens above , next thing you know someone will start talking about a water cycle , a nitrogen cycle – there could be no end to this. . . . .

It’s a water planet. 72% of the surface is covered by water. 74% is you count the 2 mile high iceblock the size of South America called Antarctica. And CO2 is incredibly soluble. So all the CO2 goes into the water. Every 5 years! The 1% of atmospheric CO2 from fossil fuel is irrelevant. All the dinosaurs were irrelevant. It’s a giant CO2 bubble tank. And CO2 levels are maintained within 1% from China to the South pole. From year to year. No one can stop the rapid total exchange which controls how much CO2 is in the atmosphere, currently only 2% of what is in transit. Consider that if slightly warmer oceans released 1%, CO2 in the atmosphere would increase 50%.

But we are told fossil fuel CO2 is entirely responsible for the 50% increase, not warmer oceans. Fossil fuel CO2 is trapped in the atmosphere. How is not explained. And then fossil fuel CO2 is twice that needed to explain the increase so we are told HALF is absorbed in the oceans and half stays in the atmosphere forever. I have no idea how each molecule knows its parentage, but this beats immigration controls.

The explanation blaming fossil fuels for the increase in atmospheric CO2 makes no logical sense at all. For example if half of fossil fuel CO2 was absorbed and not returned, half of all CO2 should suffer the same fate. CO2 levels should halve. As I said, nothing makes any sense.

Physically molecules evaporate from the ocean surface continually, like H2O molecules. And they get absorbed just like rain. The balance is natural when the rain equals the evaporation. But this idea that some CO2 molecules are special is quite ridiculous.

Remember the ‘free’ power at lunchtime promise by Bowen?
    Here’s how it will work:
The owners of the battery farms will fill up their equipment with ‘free’ electrons during the day, and then they will discharge them at night with the top rate at $18,600 per megawatt hour.
The cap is set to increase by 16% to $22,800 per megawatt hour from July 2026, and is projected to reach nearly $27,000 per megawatt hour by 2028.
“My God, how the money rolls in!”

The owners of the battery farms will fill up their equipment with ‘free’ electrons during the day

Incorrect – large scale batteries often get paid to absorb electricity to keep the grid stable now. And the free electricity is only at retail level not wholesale. Some retailers have offered free lunchtime energy for more than a year.

Batteries in South Australia were paid $12.26/MWh to suck up electricity yesterday:
      https://explore.openelectricity.org.au/energy/sa1/?range=1d&interval=30m&view=discrete-time&group=Detailed

They were paid $51.43/MWh to discharge it. So not a huge price arbitrage. Also evident is the huge glut of rooftop electricity during the middle of the day.

The battery rebate going to households to encourage household battery uptake is really a grid stability requirement because rooftops are flooding the grid; taking the operational load of the grid to zero making it difficult to control and highly exposed to unpredicted variation due to could cover..

Who are the leading fraudsters in Australia? Who knows they are being deceptive in presenting information on climate change?

I have personally challenged the ACCESS team on their models and they were not able to provide a reasoned response. The reply from their legal representative was that the ACCESS climate model was middle of the road. Meaning it produced close to the average of all the other models – hardly science.

The Climate Change™ fraud has been pervasive through academia and government institutions to the point of sacking internal dissenters. This is not the behaviour of organisations with integrity.

Their ABC, their CSIRO and their BoM have been active in perpetuating the fraud. They need to be bought to account. It is happening in BBC at least with regard TDS – but who would want to be on the wrong side of Trump – not even KRudd wants that. The BoM have been fiddling the books for years.

Deceptive behaviour that has caused incredible damage to Australia’s economy should not go unpunished. A clear message would be to set their ABC, their CSIRO and their BoM free from taxpayer support. Let them fend for themselves in the real world. Start doing something productive.

I am staggered the engineering students in Australia are doing courses on wind power. This is ancient technology and long past its use-by date. There will be no wind generating industry in Australia in 20 years. The reasons are now obvious. Solar power will be limited to rooftops at the load if it still exists in 20 years.

    210

    • #

‘Solar power will be limited to rooftops at the load if it still exists in 20 years.’
In 20years I think the subsidies won’t apply to renewing rooftop solar. It then gets expensive. I think most of the current panels will by then be at useby date. Can’t see many signing on again under those circumstances. There are also comments that people should be paying to be allowed to send their excess solar and wind energy into the system and creating instability. That would give cause for even fewer to renew unless commanded to do so by law. Ending net zero is really the death knell for the entire climate movement. imo Trump’s claim of ‘scam’ and his actions mark the beginning of the end.

The next nail will be someone arguing ‘the science’ which the manipulating international elites know they cannot win. The sooner that is brought to a head the better. All arguments about climate will never win. The obfuscation and control of the economies of the democracies is hidden in the science and the activists never want to take that on, avoiding it by the claim it is settled – which it never was.

    Australia, NZ, UK, USA, Canada.

All similar Anglo countries with related origins to Once Great Britain.

Australia – energy rich and a major energy exporter but has chosen a path of darkness (literally and figuratively) with expensive and unreliable wind and solar.

Canada – energy rich and a major energy exporter but has chosen a path of darkness (literally and figuratively) with expensive and unreliable wind and solar.

NZ – a potential and actual “true believer” but by accident already has lots of “renewables” in the form of hydro so the destructive effects of wind and solar are limited.

UK – has lots of energy via North Sea gas and French nuclear but like Australia and Canada has chosen a path of darkness (literally and figuratively) with expensive and unreliable wind and solar.

Removing the foundation is not an option – too much steel reo and high strength concrete. It is unfundable due to the high cost which the disgusting part of the ruination of the land wherever they are installed.
Replacement turbines are also not feasible since they are single use only as the fatigue to the structure during it’s lifetime renders the structure useless.

The only thing they can do is bring down the tower and recycle as much of the turbine and concrete that they can. The blades must be removed without stressing them so the land is not covered in fibreglass shards. They blades are not able to be recycled and will be stacked or buried in blade graveyards.

The problem for western countries that went hard on Net Zero, such as Australia,GB and Germany, etc, is that you can’t simply make the existing RE infrastructure go away tomorrow. That makes any movement back to coal or nuclear problematic from a cost perspective, because the duck curve means all legacy type thermal generators will suffer a demand and revenue dip during the day, making them unprofitable. And, this situation is being made worse by home solar and batteries, where many billions of dollars of lost grid revenues for at least a decade has effectively been sent to China. IMO – The current government is doing everything in its power to make sure any return to a cheap FF grid is effectively impossible and this can be seen in extreme policies to provide huge home battery subsidies and legislate 3 ‘free’ hours of electricity per day, in an attempt to bake in even more solar.

Essentially, the only way to restore the system back to one where we have reliable and cheap electricity is to stop all RE subsidies and to add heavily subsidised coal or nuclear plants, and then gradually reduce those subsidies as the amount of RE and lost revenues reduces over time. To fund those subsidies without passing on more cost to end users can only be done by ramping up coal and gas exports to generate more government revenues.

Unfortunately, we might be past the point of no return already 🙁

The LNP has a death wish. They no longer believe in the values that promoted clear and informed thinking on issues affecting the population. They are simply followers of the worst of the MSM, as well as being afraid of the varying opinions in the immigrant population.

He now works for for the Climate Change Authority as its Chair and also as a Non-Executive Director and Director of Regulatory Affairs and Strategic Partnerships at the climate investment firm Wollemi Capital. Additionally, he is a Non-Executive Director for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy.

He was appointed to the Climate Change Authority by Albanese and Bowen. That ought to indicate where Kean’s loyalties lie.

      https://www.climatechangeauthority.gov.au/matt-kean-announced-incoming-chair-climate-change-authority

The Prime Minister the Hon Anthony Albanese MP and Climate Change and Energy Minister the Hon Chris Bowen MP announced that the government will appoint the Hon Matt Kean as the new Chair of the Climate Change Authority, following the resignation of Mr. Grant King which will take effect in August.

Mr. Kean was the Treasurer of New South Wales in the NSW Government between October 2021 and March 2023 and the Minister for Energy and Environment between April 2019 and March 2023. The Prime Minister observed that Mr. Kean is uniquely qualified to lead the Climate Change Authority and understands the opportunity that the transition to clean energy represents for Australia.

There are many more like him in the Liberal Party, possibly a majority.

Nevertheless we still have a problem.

‘In 2025, half of the public (51%) say ‘global warming is a serious and pressing problem’ about which ‘we should begin taking steps now, even if this involves significant costs’ — a drop of six points since last year.’ (Lowy)

To sway this mob aunty will have to recant and tell the masses the true cause of climate change

“recant and tell the masses the true cause. . . .”

        Yeah right.

That risks some smart rs asking questions about pandemics and shirt.

The ABC won’t go there, they’ll argue ‘Superior Orders’ gives them an escape clause, but if Net Zero is front and centre of the political debate then we have a real opportunity to turn the world upside down.

We need a political champion. shadow minister for climate and energy, who questions whether industrial CO2 is bad for the grandchildren.

So can the liars and con merchants tell us what part of their fantasy world is a CC disaster today in 2025?
Is it SLR or extreme weather events or polar bears or the HOT spot or Arctic ice or Antarctic ice or Greenland or the GBR or eating meat or anything else that’d care to mention?
TOXIC ,UNRELIABLE W & S + stupid batteries only last about 15 to 20 years and Aussie average W CF is just 24% and S about 15%. See Wikipedia.
Then tell us why Labor, Greens and Teals couldn’t care less about DESTROYING THOUSANDs of Klms of our pristine environments FOREVER?
Have the left-wing loonies got any answers that make any sense? Obviously, they haven’t got any answers at all.

To infer that the earth is warming by certain average figures is unscientific nonsense.Any comparison of different stations recording temperature cannot be scientific unless area pressure, wind effects, humidity and height above sea level are taken into account which is not done. All warmer temperatures at any location result from warmer air coming from somewhere and it always originates in a hot inland area in summer caused by solar radiation. Brisbane’s highest temperature was on Australia Day 1940, Cairns 1923, Darwin 1892, Alice Springs 1891, Perth 1991 and Cape Leeuwin February 1933. Cape Leeuwin on the south west tip of Western Australia would have to be one of the best locations to evaluate long term weather records because of the lack of any urban heat effect. On the 8th of February 1933 the temperature reached 42.8C yet the day before was only 26.9C and the day after 25.8C. The huge difference between days would be because on the 8th the wind would be coming from the N.E. and hot inland desert areas whilst from the sea on the other days. In February 2022 at the same time on the same day at Gatton in Qld it was 41 C whilst 23 miles away at Amberley it was 29C. The wind at Gatton was from the west and at Amberley an easterlyt sea breeze. Co2 had nothing to do with it.
Physicists say that something like only 1 photon is absorbed in 150 million CO2 molecules in the four emission and absorbtion bands at 400 p.p.m.see climateauditor.com/co2-infrared-absorption/ The climate vilification of carbon has become a cult.

So why was the previous Eemian interglacial 8 C (14 F) warmer than today in 2025?
Why then did the last full glaciation after the WARMER Eemian see co2 levels drop to just 180 ppm or just 30 ppm above the death of plants?
Anyone have any ideas? Again, why can’t the left-wing loonies just read the PR studies, then start to THINK?

Why was the start of our Holocene so much warmer than today and Boreal forests then grew up to the Arctic coastline for thousands of years?
See the MacDonald et al study link and temps could’ve been up to 7 C warmer than today in 2025.
Only tundra and ice in this area today.

Sky News has a video about the Waratah super battery being beyond repair and at a cost of 1 BILLION $.
This is the largest battery in the SH and has had big problems before the start up. What a toxic waste of a billion $, but I’m sure the Kean loony will be quickly making up excuses.
    And ditto B O Bowen.

Actually that is a HV transformer (one of 3), that is damaged beyond repair during testing ,..not the battery,
A replacement transformer will be needed, meanwhile the remaining 2 transformers have be shut down .
      . 6 – 12 month delay in startup likley

It was built at the site of a demolished coal power station.

How ridiculous. It wasn’t a replacement for the power station. I’m sure Leftists thought it was.

The old power station shouldn’t have been demolished or it should have been replaced with a coal, gas or nuclear power station.

In an attempt to be all things to all people, the Liberals poured in ‘wets’, ‘moderates’, ‘progressives’
however one labels them. They concentrated on themselves hoping to win elections by not fighting for any values in policies.

The elections and self preservation took all their imagination. They ignored their communities and represented the loud voices of an international community, which for its own purposes, demanded the Democracies destroy themselves. Unbelievably, our politicians obeyed. imo it was Trump calling AGW a scam that revealed to the Liberals – and probably Labor – the perilous position in which they had placed the nation and the consequent heat they would face for what they have done. Fear reduced their replies to Trump to silence. They know they would lose the fight against real science and its supremely qualified scientific experts (as they had at the outset which brought on the matter of destroying people speaking against the climate zealots).

They lost sight of the prime raison d’etre, politics is about serving and managing the people and the nation. Not serving themselves! Hubris ruled after Abbott’s dismissal. Dissenting members and the public were invited to go elsewhere. They weren’t needed.

The last two elections showed just how repulsive the public found the Party. It has taken all this time for the party to realise it is in coronary care with little chance of survival unless drastic policy medicine is taken, humility is found. Dumping net zero is only bad policy in the minds of those politicians who haven’t a clue about nor care for those they are supposed to represent.

Exiting voters warned for a decade about their preselections but its taken the threat of extinction to have the Liberals listen. That’s slow learning by any definition. It diagnoses that those running the Party need to listen to their voters instead of telling the voters what is best, as though the voters are uniformly dumb! Even the dumb can see the early stage of the wreckage which Australia is to come if it keeps pursuing net zero. What we have already is a bad enough experience, and what politicians have done already ensures EVERY generation from the year 2000 onwards, not just those 100 years hence, is cast to experience the misery of great poverty.

A coal, gas or nuclear power station is capital intensive as well but if allowed to operate in a free market won’t fail to make a profit for investors.

As you say, the Lamestream Media just don’t ask the most basic questions.

When the liars started, they used to quote a 100 year forecast from 1990. That is now 35 years ago or for the non-scientists and engineers, 35% of the way into the forecast.

A forecast that had the sea rising at least 60m.

So, we should be looking at sea level rise of the order of 20m … which although I know the news is manipulated by the likes of the BBC, I suspect we might have heard about it if anything even remotely like that had happened.

They have been blatantly lying … and now we’ve lived with those lies long enough to know for certain they were always lies and those making them were always liars.
